HP:50
Power:20/30 in rage
Armour:18/5 in rage
Movement:3
Blocking:70%(35%)
Range:1 (like knights)
Recovery:1/2 in rage

Rage: you activate it like how you activate assassin's explode. When it is activated it first decreases its hp by 10 and will decrease its HP each turn by 5, increases its power from 20 to 30 and armour from 18 to 5 and its recovery will be 2. Also when activated he will leave you and become a "neutral" unit and will start move to and attack the nearest unit. When it is in nuetral state it can't be healed will not be controlled by you so it will not use your turn when it attacks (so it is possible for an enemy unit to be hit twice on the same turn) and because its not on your side it will not count as an endgame unit. Activating the effect counts as a turn

so its a moving LW while in rage? the HP damage dosnt really balance that out, it kills, chantys, clerics, pyros ect.

your using 1+5=6
being you balance out a large advantage with many small dissadvantages, not balanced at all

Kyir your missing the point of the metaphor. Theres nothing wrong with balancing units using 1+5=6 as long as it's BALANCED. That's what makes new unit's interesting and original.

lazerslug your trying to balance out a weak first form with a powerful second form. You are trying to balance extremes with 1+5=6 but instead your getting an answer of 7. Why would I get rid of one of my unit's, which is really weak in it's first form, when it may just turn around and attack me while in rage? The game transforms from a battle to seeing who can get the farthest away from the mercinary. Though it wouldn't be long as the mercinary will only last for a max of 8 turns, which equals to no more than 4 attacks. With 2 recovery and 3 movement you'll be lucky to get 2 attacks in. When does the Mercinary move while in rage: Before my turn, after my turn, during my opponent's turn, or after my opponent's turn?

After the former controller's turn

so you wait 1 turn before it attacks? wow, that sure ballences the risk

What the hell? An uncontrollable unit!?
I'm sorry, man, that's a bit....overpowered. I mean, the opponent can't do anything about it an neither can you. It would be madness! And it would require a crap-load of coding to make it possible.

I had an uncontrollable summon, called the Puppet, but it only did 12 damage/turn. This is madness. Sorry, it's overpowered.

P.S. I TOLD YOU, KYIR! That's CP's quote, and he'll tell you how to use it. :p On a second note, you must all refer to me before saying "methinks".

I am now referring to Lonely Tylenol: Methinks this unit is dumb.

actually you can just kill it lol.

and the coding doesn't have to complicated it could be like: 1.find nearest unit 2. move to nearest unit 3. if unit with in attack range attack and repeat

Another Miss for a unit...Will there ever be any decent submissions?

I mean the coding to create the unit. Alot goes into the current units. This one would take alot longer to create.

What if the unit randomly moves out of range of the opponent's unit before it attacks. Seriously, this is like having a random dude just hanging out on the board killing people.

do have any experiance in game programing? if not, please shut up, AI in any game is hard, evne if it is jsut to attack closest unit, if 2 were equally close it would ave to know how much HP they had, and there armor ect. and make a dession

Actually to do what he says isn't that hard, just takes up a lil bit of time, but it can be done

That's not the point the point is that it does what exactly I said because a person in rage will not be rational enough to know which unit to attack by calculating HP armor etc. it meant to sort of to create a decoy for your opponent to mess around with or even to overwhelm a unit with 2 units attacking even if the mercenary attacks a knight from the front

Kyir's talking about the programming that goes into it, idiot!
It would take way too much time to create all the necessary formulas and coding for this unit. It's not about just puting an image on the site and then it automatically can move around.
Please stop talking about stuff you have absolutely no clue about.

i agree with the first train of thought. i do not like losing one of my units just be cause he gets pissed off and then goes around beatin' up the nearest guy. the nature of the game is to outhink your opponent and last longer than him or her. losing one unit will not help you last longer.
