I'm sure spider units have been suggested before, i think i even saw a fake SS once of seed supposedly developing one, but i thought i'd throw one out for S&G's. Played around with the idea of units having different attacks based on the range to target before, but its been a while, oh well enjoy.

Spider
Health: 48
Move: 4
Recovery: 2
Range: 1, 3 ot 4

Attacks: Melee (range 1): Poison: 4 damage at time of attack and 4 damage per turn, armor does not decrease the amount of poison damage, poisoned units cannot attack, but can still move. Healing cures poison, but does not recover health, after each turn the poison has a 10% cumulative chance to wear off. Poison does not stack with wisps or successive spider attacks, nor can it kill a unit (damage at time of melee attack counts as poison damage, and those cannot kill a unit).

Ranged (range 3 and 4): LOS Web attack: target is immobilized until damaged. The unit may still attack and may still be ordered to move or change facing, whenever a webbed unit is ordered to move or change facing, there is a 20% chance that the unit will break the web and do as ordered.

It’s better than the majority of the recent crap but it isn’t very original. It looks to me like a ripoff of the poison wisp and ensnaring ent. Good ideas of course and tactical but they aren't new.

I feel lied too, i was assured i was on mirth's ignore list :(

Anyway thanks for stating the obvious, that the ideas of a spider, poison and ensaring unit aren't that new (which i made a concession too no less), what you might not realize is that the idea of a poison mechanic is actually much older then the wisp, Here (http://tacticsarena.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3785&highlight=poison+mage) is an early example of a unit that uses the poison mechanic. So while i did make some concessions to the now established poison game mechanic, i was mainly just expanding on my own idea not just ripping the wisp. As for the ensaring ent, never heard of it, I've heard of the Ents (http://tacticsarena.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3107), but I doubt that is what you're refering too.

Please add me to your ignore list now, as you promised :wink2:

I did put you on my ignore list, I clicked “view post” because I wanted to see what your unit was. I don't always read entire threads but I always at least take a look at the first posts. Your immature reaction is confirmation that I shouldn’t take you off my ignore list. Send me a pm when you decide to grow up.

Not very original. Kinda a combination of certain units I've seen. Yet, it is better than some of the crap I've seen lately.
