i think so =D i dont think there original enough to make a great site as good as TAO

It's not a copy of TAO. I themed it on the TAO website, it was a design choice. There are distinct differences. As one of the large clans of TAO we have a right to use the colors of TAO.

No I'm not. But neither are you. And those mistakes will be eventually found and ironed out. I have to balance making and mantaining a living website while posting in this forum and staying on top of school and having a social life. Then, of course, I might actually want to play TAO too. I'm not being payed to do this site, i'm doing it in whatever free time I have. if you want to criticize the site, say what I did wrong, don't say smugly "You aren't the best website creator"

By the way, yes, i know about the broken home link and the ranking overflow, so don't mention those.

Try to be civil, please? This forum is starting to strain my nerves because of this rivalry which induces cattiness in the best of men. And not so best.

well you have no bottom global navigation bar, no child pages/navigation, you have no navigation rail, and on a few of your links in the top global navigation bar if you click then there no other links on the page so the only way to get back is to push the back button you need a global navigation bar on ALL pages

thats the only mistakes i noticed... so far

Sorry I had to do some errands.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I don't understand some of them. There is a global navigation bar at top that sends you to all of the pages except the rating calculator, which can be accessed through the rating board. The only page without that is the enter page. The bottom global links I'll keep in mind, and I don't have enough content for child pages yet, but I have the folders set up for them. All the links work on the global except the home button, which I can't fix. And what do you mean by "navigation rail?"

Dreamweaver rules. I especially love the CSS support. Div layers are much easier than doing layout by tables.

Sure... You can also do CSS in notepad, but who would want too. If you're happy with your tool then that's cool. I've worked a lot with both and Dreamweaver is tops in my book.

Don't bother going to the "best site of all time" all it does is open a million windows. Also, (can't believe I'm defending them) don't go bashing KOTR's website when yours only has 2 functional pages. Personally, I think their website isn't hard to navigate at all, considering how much information's there.

Come back and start bashing when you've added some depth to your site.

Well, if you think about it, Furious_Angel, we have a right to think you were responsible for those sites since when Killer_Kev asked for links to your sites that was what you gave. Also, TWC has the second-best clansite in TAO. It ain't half-bad.

And...KOTR's clansite is being redesigned to be better looking, faster-loading, have more content, and have fewer bugs, come New Years I'll upload the finished product.

jesus how about you just learn HTML..... its that hard go to www.echoecho.com they have a great HTML tutorial. from there you can branch off to javascript etc.

Well, I wouldn't go that far Renegade, HTML alone is pretty scary stuff. You just have to ask yourself hoq far you're willing to go for web design, or...how willing you are to rip off the industry and use Kazaa.

I got the package of Macromedia titles for an educational discount, as far as I can tell the educational version isn't too much different than proffessional. If you exploit your student status or better yet have your father or mother become a volunteer worker at your school, and then exploit them, you can get a big discount. You should look into Macromedia. I think it's $799 for:

-Flash 2004
-Fireworks MX
-Dreamworks MX
-ColdFusion
-Freehand MX

Add in the educational/educator's discount, and if its worth it to you, you're set. If you're lucky, you might even get your parents to buy it for you if you put on a puppy-dog face and grovel on the floor and say its important for your future.

yea the series is good i have most of them cause i got them b4 the package option came out. i still prefer HTML though, it just gives you more options in my opinion.

Well, there are advantages and disadvantages to each.

Flash Advantages: Drag-and-drop system, powerful, easy to use
HTML Advantages: Everyone can view HTML, loads faster

You have to decide which is more important. The new site for KOTR will have more HTML than the last, which I think will be important for its wellbeing.
