I've heard of these formations but I never experienced one first hand , more than that never seen one , I was thinking if I can get a glimpse on what they look like (if anyone is willing to help) my stats are taking a turn for the worst and I'm just experimenting with all different forms , maybe this form will help me out with those rushes , if you dont want to post anything you don't have to , I was just wondering

There is a good thread I read recently about anti rushes, you can find it here. (http://www.tacticsarena.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14394&highlight=anti+rush) Cool, no?

Hehe, no problem. Just remember that I found this thread last week because I wanted information on the same thing, anti-rush formations, and I made the mistake of posting where to find this information as well. While waiting for a reply, I searched and found what I was looking for, and managed to back out of that thread before the flaming began. I always search, and most of the time find interesting threads I wasn't even looking for (see the many 'confessions' threads, they are equally amusing and apalling).

Actually, I once had a semi anti-rush. It beat several rushes (with ease) and got crushed by turtles...too bad I lost it. :(

Turtles are pritty tuff, and were quite popular last time I checked... are they still?

The question is, do u want to spend time with strategy and thinking in turtles, or have a nice fast rush game that lasts around 10 mins, choice is urs.
Though i prefer turtles any day :)

anti's aren't exactly new, they've just always been overlooked ... i've recently stopped rushing  and have been experimenting with antis and spreads :D

I would argue that a rush is simply one form of a spread, but what do I know?

crx , if you anti , I think I would have a much better time playing you then when we rush. But anyway , you were right when you said it was overlooked , which is why this thread came to play , I wanted to bring back another form that kinda recently died over time.

hi i herd wut u sed about rushes and i h8 them myself. the best way to stop them i think is to kill the witches and pyros as fast as possible.u shood put a lightening ward out in the front and scare them off. then attack them with scouts and assasinsor pyros and witches. if they get too close ur nites can takem down. hope this helps!

Well, you see, when i ask for a freestyle game, it doesn't mean I'm rushing... I just HATE revealing anything about my form ahead of time since that unpredictbliity if what makes TAO fun for me.
Only reason I rush most of the time nowadays is cuz ppl THINK i'll be rushing and prepare this rush or anti to meet it when their best at turtling... thus making things easy for me because they're giving themselves a disadvantage by playing on their own weaknesses.
I've powered turtled good anti-rushers quite a few times and anti skilled rushers often...
I'm not trying to allow myself to rush when i ask for freestyle, i'm doing it to bring variety and the formation element back to TAO... It used to be that I could go into the lobby and ask for a "game", and wait for a simple "yes" or "no" and both players would use their best forms... now i ask for a "game", the other guy goes "turtle or rush"... then if you say turtle they go "busher or no?"... then "old school turtle" or "monkus turtle?", or a variety of BS that's taking all the fun out of form-building.

Ah, crx has finally realised that a rush won't take you abve say 1650... it's simply not consistent enough...
Having said that, NO form is consistent enough nowadays to reach much above 1700 unless you only play 1200 n00b golds. I myself use an anti-rush that also beats same-side turts, but dies horribly if I get opp side to a turt... and when you gain 1 point for a win and lose 16 for a loss... it becomes very difficult to keep going upwards...

I've always known that... that's why you don't just stick with one form :p
Modifying your form to fit each opponent is part of TAO.. and such constant shifting is what i enjoy about it so much...
One rush won't take you over 1650, but my 5 variations of it can... add in an anti and a power turtle and you can hit 1800 ;)
