stupid newbie question (gold account edition)

ok i just paid TAO $5 about an hour ago and i was wondering how long deoes it take to become a gold acount?

The guideline says 24 hours.It may take longer than that.If it does,send in a Support Ticket.

Yes, it is generally 24 hours, but in cases of technical problems, it might take a bit longer.

just be patient, and if it gets to Friday night, then consider sending out a ticket.
