Disclaimer: There has been no attempt to "Balance" this unit with the pre-existing TAO units available. This unit is strictly an outlet of entertainment that I decided to make public for your enjoyment as well. However, certain realism bounds have been observed as well. By reading further into this thread, you agree that you understand the above statement, and will refrain yourself from making stupid posts. /Disclaimer.
Introduction: I thought it would be kind of a neat idea if people were to design a unit they feel would fit themselves in the best manner. Sort of a degree of personilization that people rarely take. I didn't want to try and make an organized thread over this, because that would be stupid, and full of < OMG 400HP WTFBBQLOL!!1 >.
So I'll just do me, and see where it goes. ^_^.
Description:
Unit: Xerent
HP: 21
Power: 4
Armor: 0
Blocking: 10%
Range: 1 unit directly adjacent to Xerent.
Speed: 4
Recovery: 1A/1M
Ability: Negative Burst. The visual effect of this ability would be something akin to a shockwave emenating from Xerent, covering the field of play. Afterwards, Xerent (and any 'Polarized' units) would be displayed in full color, everything else, field, effects, and units, would be displayed in grayscale.
In this mode, Xerent and any Polarized units are invulnerable. Xerent and the polarized units cannot inflict damage on any other 'Grayscale' units, or be affected in any manner (focus spell, barrier ward, healing, etc.) by any 'Grayscale' while in this mode. All other units, except for visual appearance, remain unaffected.
Ability: Polarize. This ability becomes available after the 'Negative Burst' ability has been performed. Xerent targets any one enemy unit on the field. Range is infinite, LOS is not applied. This effect will end the Negative Burst effect. The visual effect is much the same, except opposite. A shockwave emenates from Xerent, and all other non-polarized units regain their normal visual appearance. However, Xerent and the Polarized units will be displayed as Grayscale.
In this mode, any Grayscale units cannot in any manner affect any other 'Normal' units, and vice versa.
The death of Xerent will result in all units returning to their 'Normal' status on the beginning of the next turn.
Xerent is not an End of Game unit.

Suppose a unit a polarized after it's paralyzed
xerent

Then it would be un-paralized.

Yes what would the turnout be?

Suppose the paralyzer was polarized instead.
xerent
05-04-2005, 12:37 PM
Then the paralyzer would lose focus.

Does a barrier stop polarization?
xerent
05-04-2005, 12:42 PM
Sure. But if you polarize the Barrier Ward, then the Ward loses focus.

If you're thinking of applications, I would just skip to polarizing the cleric :P
If there are multiple xerents on the field and one dies, what happens?
Does it revert only the units it has polarized?
Does it revert everything?

It gives your units in play a seven day ban.

The purpose of this excersize was to create a unit that you felt particularly akin to.
In other words, this unit would be representing you on the field.
In other words, there would never be 2 'Xerent's' on the same field.

I believe multiple people can feel akin to the same unit.

The Godmicinator
Description: A mutation of the furgon species with a colored cape and Zorro mask. He is much angrier and hungrier than other furgons and has lost all resemblance of the gentle furgon race. He has found a use for those big claws of his, and that's to dice creatures up for later consumption. (Beast Burgers are his fav.) He also has a secondary attack similar to the furgon's attack. He can summon a single bush that will bite anything that gets within one space of it.
HP: 25
Power: 17
Armor: 4 (cape)
Blocking: 50%
Range: 1/3
Speed: 4
Recovery: 2A/1M
Ability: Evil Shrub of Deathness- The furgon can use his secondary attack like a muddy would and the shrub will appear randomly within three spaces of him in all directions. Once it is summoned, it will remain, until it is destroyed. It is not a focus.
Evil Shrub of Deathness:
HP: 6
Power:5 (does 5 every turn a unit is next to it. Including friendly units.)
Armor: 0
Blocking: 0%
Speed: 0
Recovery: 0

I don't mind you putting that here, but you can put that in your own thread, if you want.

wouldn't it be easier to make a thread for ppl to post their personal units? since this is your idea... you should be the one to do it if you decide to.

I didn't want to try and make an organized thread over this, because that would be stupid, and full of < OMG 400HP WTFBBQLOL!!1 >.
