My friend at work asked me where Grimace had gone, as he hadn't seen him in commercials for quite some time. That question obviously sparked a question in me, that I have been trying in vain to answer: Just what is Grimace? Why was he created? What does he have to do with McDonald Land? Arggh!! Does anyone know the origin and whereabouts of this furry, purple being? And as a side question, is S_K_O_F related to him??
Click here for more information regarding this purple beasty. (http://www.angelfire.com/mo/jogrimace/)

Well, you're right about that. The Hamburglar rocked. Hell, at one time I thought that was an actual profession, and I was determined to become a hamburglar myself. I still can't beleive that Grimace is in Wikipedia,!

I have never known as to what made the McDonalds company come up with the name grimace.

I guess when after you drink more then two of the McDonald's mlkshakes at one time, your face contorts into a 'grimace', both from the sugar content and the effect they have on an unsuspecting belly. This thread has had thirty-three views but no replies? Are you people uninterested in the whereabouts of Grimace?? Bsardats!! :tongue2:
Ah yes, as of late I was too ready to accept whatever was thrown towards me. However, due to recent developments, both in my own maturity and my study of simple logic, I, too, wonder about this.
Basically though, I don't know where to begin. A large purple blob thing isn't really good marketing, but hey, it worked as good as anything, so whatever. Maybe more stores should get their marketing department members high before asking for ideas.
...after seeing this, Burger King will soon release their new strand of marketing. I can see it now...

 "Come to Burger King and get a special visit from Angel Dust" would probably work better in this day and age, :tongue2:! I think originally Grimace was like a gumdrop thingy. It is funny that other furry mascots have since mimicked Grimace and gotten quite rich, i.e.-Barney, the purple teletubby. One for me, *drinks milkshake* and one for my homies. *pours some milkshake on the ground*
 I can't give you another rep yet Dove, :crybaby:!

Did anyone ever notice Grimace disappeared about the time Barney showed up?

So Jeffery, is your theory that, A). Barney killed off Grimace, or B). Grimace is posing as Barney, or C). Barney kidnapped Grimace and handed him over to Hellblazer?
