I finally got around to getting Jeffery to host my first video.

Remember way back when I promised to post a video called cooking with Snork?
Well, that's not it.
But it's close enough.

Disclaimer due to inevitable poor quality;

I was at my parents, had my camera, got an idea, gave the camera to my mom, gave 5 seconds of instructions to Bradley(my son), and we started. Whole thing took 1 1/2 minutes from when I got the idea to when it finished.
The video quality is crappy, not sure what happened. But it's as good as it can get for a spur of the moment, hey, let's do this, 30 seconds later with no script the camera is rolling type deal.
That's just my beginning work. The poor camera quality at the start really brings down the video.
Plus the actors were incompetent.

Oh, and hit pause first, and let it finish loading, otherwise it appears even more choppy than it already is for reasons that escape me.

I look different in pics, depending on the angle.

There was no script. That was the problem. :)

The only part that was scripted is I told Bradley, "stand beside me. When the camera starts, I'm going to shove you away, and you yell at me."
Then we started.
I was just losing myself in the moment. :p

For two reasons.
2) Because I can. That's reason enough for everything I try.
1) Most importantly, I did it for the forum members here. I wanted to make a video to post for y'all to see. Just trying to add a bit of life to the forums in my own Snorky way.

About 1/3 what I was asking.

The guy came in, was picking through them.
I told him I'd give him the whole box for whatever.
He said he only had this much, so he was just going to buy a few.
We stood there and talked about 8 tracks, and he really seemed to like them, he has an 8 track player and everything.
I told him I'd give him the box for what he was paying for the 7 he picked.
His face lit up, he was so excited.
That made it worth selling to him, because I knew he'll enjoy them.

Now that I've made a mockery out of potentially brief answers, not quite sure.
I probably should have written it down. And maybe recorded the sale too.
Oh well.

No schedule of release planned for other videos yet.
So far only Hellblazer thinks my video is crap.
Based on the positive response, I'll speed up production on my other projects.
Expect something by next monday.
I do have something special planned for future videos.
I'll give more details when I know them.
But rest assured it is in accordance with my Snorky style, and you all knew it was coming eventually.

You might actually get to be in a future video!

Did anyone else notice how it worked on sooo many different levels? Brilliant!

On the one hand, it was just a crappy homemade videos by a guy desperate to get rid of his lame collection of outdated 8-tracks.

But, on another, and much deeper level, it was clearly a comment on the fast-paced technological insanity that we now find ourselves in. Thus, it's very "crap heapness" was itself a comment on society and media in this day and age. Think about it -- 78 rpm LPs, 45 rpm singles, 33 1/3 rpm LPs, 8 tracks, cassettes, CDs, MP3s . . . will it ever end?

Did you notice the fact that the video itself was shot on an outdated, handheld video camera? Thus, the media used to spread the message of the transience of our sociey was itself an outdated relic. Genius!
