Cant win.

Ok, this game is starting to make me really mad...Ive got my stats to 1400, and now I cant get past it, I keep going down to 1300+ stats.I cant beat anyone now...I dont feel any better then when I started this game in 2003.This is really starting to make me mad,....I dont know why or anything, anyone got any clue or pointers?People keep telling me its just a game, well to some it is, but for me I need to win, I dont like to lose at all.Sould I go to a diffrent sever,? becuase it dont seem army is giving me any like skills at all.If that I feel like I suck even more then before.

Happened to me before, happens to everyone. I would recommend to take a break or play on a different server.

Everyone has funks. One thing to remember is how formulaic TAO is. How much units damage, even the formations that people use. Find something that works and stick with it.

Also, keep perspective. Fun as it is, TAO is just a little flash game online. (I hope I don't get flamed into oblivion for that.)

I no all damage units and all that stuff im not saying I suck I have beaten alot of great players as of late I just dont feel like thats good enough.

yah, some thing just happen... you have to work your way over that hump ya know? and I have also been hearing a lot of complaints from Army Vets that say the talent level has been dropping... So maybe you are meeting a bunch of noobs who luck out?

Man, I remember my funk.

In two weeks, I gained over a hundred stats (1310 -> 1423), which propelled me to #60 in the rankings. Then, of all things, I started losing my games! I was being outplayed by the simplest of opponents, and even though it SEEMED to me like I was playing my moves right, I kept falling into the most obvious traps. You know, rush my Mud Golem into the range of a protected Frost Golem in a same sider, put the wrong facing and lose a Scout, that kind of stuff.

And if that wasn't enough, the few games I DID outplay, I ended up being outlucked! (E.G. StupidCowsCantSwim/tuxedo)

Three times did I fall below 1400 in that time, and once lingered at 1376, but my name never fell in the rankings, because of the spectacular break in my nervous breakdown ONLY on Thursdays. :p I'll tell you what I did.... I just told myself... "Oh well".

Here's what I mean. If you play a game of golf, and stay relaxed, you'll feel better and do better. But if you miss on a putt or hit a shot unti a bad bunker, and flip out, you'll get frustrated and that'll affect your game in a negative way as well, because you won't have your wits about you. When you stop worrying, you start playing better again.

I know you've already got your game back, but if it ever happens to anyone again, and they stumble apon this thread... :bigsmile:
