Tinybrain: The Introductionening

Hi. I'm new here. I like this game a lot, so you'll probably see me on a fair amount.

I tend to like joking around while I play, though I avoid typing if my opponent is quiet because I don't want them to feel like I'm holding up the game.

I kinda suck at this style of game, but can't stay away because I enjoy tactical games so much.

So far the only thing I've run into that I don't understand is why it is that people are so baffled that I bought a gold account after 2 days of playing. I like the game, why not start contributing right away? This notion that we're all entitled to free stuff and should take what's free and ask for more is bizarre to me...

Anyway, if you end up playing against me, feel free to strike up a conversation. As I said, I like to chit-chat while I play.

Thanks! :bigsmile: I've been playing on Great Lakes. I'm hovering around a 1000 ranking or so as of right now, though I suspect that will plummet over the weekend.

My favorite unit is the Golem Ambusher, the one I want to find a use for us the Furon, and my preferred strategy involves the Dragon, Dragon Speaker and Pyro Mages.

...I'm also fond of walks on the beach.

Just won a game using the Furgon, the paralyzing golem, and the ambusher. Paralyze, cut a small hole, shore up any holes they made, and beat the paralyzed guy to death. It took forever, but *man* was it safe.

it ruined the turtle, which is the setup that uses the furgon your looking for a use for, its the worst unit ever

They were long-fought wins, but they were very satisfying. I lost a few times but won a bunch more using both the Furgon and the Ambusher last night.

Why do you say they suck?

Personally, I love the ambusher... You have to realize that before it came out, just about everyone turtled... when it did come out, the majority of player who had HUGE egos and thought themselves the "best" couldn't handle the busher's power over their favorite units and strategies, and called it "cheap" and "for noobs"... but personally, I think it weeded out the weaker, as the VERY best players have by now learned to deal with the ambusher even when they are turtling.

Don't listen to waht people say, an ambusher is just as good as any other unit. Welcome to TAO, enjoy your stay ;) Maybe I'll see you on GL sometimes.

i can deal with it, i jsut beat a bomb with one frontline (frosty) but i still dont like it, for a reason that it urders greys, they have little ot no chance to stop their cleric from going without a BW

That's a pretty bold statement to make. As has been discussed before, an Ambusher on the right side of the board accompanied by a Mud Golem or Scout or Wisp or pyromancer or what have you can and WILL destroy your cleric. You don't believe me, catch me sometime on rev and show me how your turtling can handle one.
