You know, TAO has gone through many changes over the past year and few months. Greats have left, destined Greats have arrived. People have been banned, people have been brought up on the chains of greatness. People have become more mature, turned into different posters, perhaps even into completely different people, because of the influence TAO has upon them. I just want to say my thank yous to all my buddies, and even people I don't like in TAO.

Cephas: First and foremost, I want to thank Cephas. You were my very first Online Friend. You helped me on my evolution into an adult. You're a very good person, and I hope you stay that way. I hope that one day we can meet each other face-to-face, you really helped me out in life in general. Maybe one day, if you have the time, we can restore Thieves Guild with the help of Reggy, Melekiev, Link7, Arkantos, ~Dark_Rain~, and 247. That would be grand. My thanks goes to you the most.

Jeffery: As much as I hate to say it, you helped me mature into an adult just as much as Cephas did. You turned me from an arrogant child that thought he knew everything, to a open-minded, mature individual. I don't understand to this day what you were trying to teach me, but I seem to have gotten the message. Thank you.

Lord Achilles/Amaroth-Kaizane: You taught me the value of loyalty to your friends. Well, Bushido Gaiden as a whole, but you the most. I've always respected you, but your Confession Thread made me respect you even more by a massive amount. I thank you for teaching me the value of loyalty.

Cavour: You taught me the value of friendship. We were really cool back in the days, the really old days. You and Kalamady made me laugh all the time, and you guys made me look on the bright side of everything. Thank you, and if you have any contact with Kalamady, please tell him I said thank you.

theburning: You taught me that Administrators, whether they'd be school, work, or forums Administrators, can be cool if you give them a chance. I respect my Administrators now because you banned me...twice. ;)

Duffman: To tell you the truth, you didn't do anything amazing, but you did slightly influence every aspect of my maturity. Thank you.

Warcow: Dude, how long has it been since we've been in a serious conversation? I don't think we have. Anyways, I saw you as a serious person, but when you did make a joke, you made me laugh so hard that I cried. You're awesome, dude, and thank you.

TheBlazedAce: You were just...cool. So cool that you deserve mention. Thank you.

Northwind: Your advice to me in the "But Seriously..." thread deserves merit. You helped me understand girls slightly more than I did.

Thrdflrmshr: I think I'm going to put your old name here. There. You deserve merit, because when I needed help, you were there. And you always gave me excellent advice.

Anybody I've forgotten to mention, I apologize profusely. Thank you guys too. I just wanted to say my thank yous to the people who've made me a better person in life. I'll always remember you guys for it. I'm sorry to make a stupid thread such as this, but this is something I felt had to be said. Thank you. I'm probably going to get a lot of neg reps for this. Okay, great, who gives a damn, oh well. If you guys have any Thank-Yous also, feel free to post them here.

Where have I seen something like this before...? Meh, Props to ya, but not worth the pos-rep.

Where I'm from if someone messes with your friend, you wait outside his work with a bat. I grew up in a real tight-knit Irish community. We all stick out for eachother. It's just the life I've always known, and I always look out for those I care for.

Note to all: Swartz did not say goodbye, he said thank you. He's not leaving (unless you count leaving behind some of his former less eveolved habits)

Note to Swartz: I think what I was trying to teach you is simply to learn. You seemed to have learned how to learn from others, and have changed a lot. This more than anything is what being an adult is. The acceptance of learning lessons not only from yourself, but those around you, and incorporating them into a more complete self.

And yet so many judgemental pricks...

And that is what I was pointing out.

It has the feel of a GB thread, but not the exact verbage. He just wants to give credit where it is due. Aww, Swartz, I'm touched. I got to mentor someone else here too, other than dim. One of these days I'll play you and beat you soundly, as a father figure, it is my prerogative!

And yet so many judgemental pricks...
Warning: this post contains logic.

Surely that is an oxymoronic sentence? You dismiss others as judgemental, then call them pricks despite having never met them.

I dismiss nobody, and am ever striving to find the good in everyone. It's just very hard in modern society. I think you misunderstand Exile, I think it's great that Swartzstrom took the time to give his appreciation to those that've helped him in any way. There's very little of that these days. Perhaps you missed the irony.

People, as a whole, are pricks, but PEOPLE (say an individual) can be ever so suprising and thoughtful (read: Swartzstroms post). Thy cynic in me just has a way of expressing that which you, apparently misinterpereted. :)

I wasn't referring to your post's subject.

I was referring to its grammar. :)

"And yet there are so many judgemental pricks..."

Grammatically, it's a sentence fragment. Also, it's bad form to start a sentence with "and". Besides, you mentioned me not knowing these pricks. I can reach out and TOUCH a couple of them right now... :)

Of course, anyone who visits TAO is alright by me.

Dear dear, someone gets touchy, don't they...

Emotions are illogical. You should try and analyse the situation logically, or you will jump to the wrong conclusions.

I wonder what that comment is supposed to mean.

GD is as difficult to post in as it is to read. I think I'll stick to the netjak thread for now.

I'm sorry, I don't follow. ???

I was AGREEING about the poor grammar. :)

Of course I'm not leaving. I love this game too much.

Yeah, Merdoc, I'm still on GL.

You're very welcome, Warcow.
