In need of some help.

Well I seem to have some kind of problem at the moment.

I'm unable to connect to any of the three servers (Banff, GL, Army) while I am able to connect to Rev and Legends. And I really do not know why.

I simply receive a "server unavailable" when I try to connect to one of the three servers. (Creating a simple grey is also not possible.)

I do not have this problem on any other computer, and I'm also sure it's not the account that has a problem, because others are able to acces it, and I'm also unable to connect on other accounts.

So, basically, there's something wrong with my computer.

I already tried some things with Duffman. I got rid of my temporary Internet Files and deleted all of my cookies. It didn't work.

I thought of sending in a ticket, but since it's my computer that has a problem, I don't think that would have done much good.

So if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

Hrm.....

So, with that computer you are able to access Rev, just not the other servers????

Sounds to me like your IP may be blocked. If you have a dynamic IP, it could be an IP that was banned drifted to you.

Depending on the internet you have, there should be a way for you to release and refresh the IP connection. Let me know who your ISP is, and whether it is DSL or cable (love of god say it is not dialup) and I'll see what I can whip up for you.

I thought about my IP being blocked, but I shouldn't be able to acces Rev then either, right?

Edit: Oh and just for future reference, I don't know much about Internet or computers, so if you wouldn't mind to keep it simple if you may have any suggestions. :)

Actually, each server runs seperately.

But:
What company is your cable through? Do you run their connection software? Do you run your computer straight from the cable modem, or is there a router involved?
When the cable modem was set up, did anyone log into it and make change?(if not, I can walk you through accessing it)

My cable company is chello, from the bigger corporation UPC.

I don't know if I run their connection software to be honest, because I don't really know which software you mean. Sorry, I'm quite ignorant when it comes to this kind of stuff.

I have no router, so I run it straight from the modem.

I don't know if anyone log into it and changed anything, because I wasn't here when it was set up. And I'm home alone.

I'm only at my parent's house during the weekends, during working days I'm usually on my laptop at college and my room there. (Today is an exception because I have some studying to do, which I prefer to do before I travel 3 hours with the train.)

What make and model modem is it? I can tell you how to login to it, and let you reset your IP.

hey wacky..... i wonder if u use a fixed IP from your ISP?

if not... u can try to refresh your IP from the following DOS command:

ipconfig /renew_all

hope this works for ya.
