View Full Version : Switching to Dual Clerics

I dont know what has happened but ever since ive switched from using my classic no drop grey setup (which has been very successful in the past) and consists of a Cler,DMW,BW,LW,Chanty,scout,3Knight and Assassin to using this new Dual Cleric setup ive been winning games by a lot bigger margins in remaining units. Personally I thought that switching to dual clerics would be a very difficult transition to make when it has actually improved my game quite a lot. Ive found a huge difference now im using 2cler,2pyro,3Knight,LW scout and a DMW. I have more range and more unblockable attacks. More of my units are able to survive an onslaught of attacks when healed for 24HP during their recovery. Ive been able to go from defense to offense no problem because waiting for a cleric to heal my units has pretty much become obsolete. im sure that when i get the opportunity to fill in another DMW for a pyro i will just for a little extra power at the sacrifice for precision attacks a pyro provides. Anyone who has had success switching to dual clerics let me know or give it a try if youve never felt that you would be successful using two clerics.

Would this not be better for general strategy?

So you use the dual clerics strategy... so do alot of plp...
This doesn't describe a battle you had, only told that you won some... and can't picture how you won... must've been either luck or against poor players. Why? B/c you don't even have a chanty in your line up... it's soo much ezr to win witha chanty

The count you can win without chanty, silly noob.
I myself have come to like pyros so I have 2 no dmw but a chanty I still have.

Lmao..half the people who have chanty's dont know how to use them. But you say the fact that they have them makes them good player I guess. Trust me I would love to incorporate a Chanty into this formation but the truth is Pyros work best in pairs and im certainly not trading in a DMW for a chanty. With all of this ranged unblockable firepower I find that other players dont know what to do when attacking. However I have yet to play a really good player with a dual Cleric setup. I just wanted to report that Dual Clerics has helps me in my battles thats all. :p

He did not, the count said that having a chanty makes it easier to win, which I have to agree with. Dangle, you are also correct that half (if not most) of the people who have chanties don't know how to use them, but in the hands of a skilled player she can be deadly.

You said you had a barrier ward, right? Just a suggestion, but you could always remove that for the chanty, if you don't wanna give up the pyro. I know someone is gonna say, "but don't you need a bw to use a chanty?" and the answer is no: if you can't use a chanty without a bw, then you have no business using her. I do like your idea of dual dmws though, that's def. a plus if you want to be a little more offensive, b/c the witches can be a big deterrent to any units that try and get behind your attackers (48 unblockable damage = death). Without the bw, your form is gonna be harder to defend, so I play a spread with a lw in the center, clerics 3 spaces apart from each other, but offset to one side of the formation. Chanty on the other side from your clerics and most of your defense in front of them (maybe 2 knights on that side of the lw and 1 in front of the chanty). But that's just me - nothing says that is a good form, but I pwn with it  .

I've been alternating between chanty, bw, and dual witches, and the same with dual pyros instead. Both have their advantages.

FLAMING TIME!!!! Correct way:
I don't like to use 2 clerics, because it messes up my set and I think it's a waste of another unit, if you can keep your cleric alive. Plus I think I smell like I didn't change my diapers

How did you ever get 3 positive reps?
Every post I have run across from you is just a dumb ass remark.

Ditto, but I lost like 4 out of 10 games when I fiddled with my setup away from my no-drop grey, after winning about 60 in a row against other greys. I think that for most good opponents, dual clerics is not as effective as having a third attacker or BW, but dual clerics creams any mediocre or worse opponent, no sweat.
