My favourite movie is Enemy At The Gates, don't really know why, but I like World War 2 movies, like Wind Talkers or something, can't really remeber the name. It is about a russian sniper, Vasili Zaitsev and how the Nazis especially braught one of their elite snipers to Stalingrad, just to kill him. Good movie. :)

Sin City is amazing. The way it is filmed, the directing and the camerawork are definitely my style. Pulp is obviously great. I've seen NBK, but it's been a while. And then of course there's Hostel. I laughed through a lot of it, but that was probably because I was high:dry:

i've seen AHX and i must say its a good movie though a bit on the tragic side - i mean the ending is just... 8/10 and pulp fiction is pure class 9.5/10

I like saw 1 and saw 2 and the movie rounders which has an a guy acting like an authentic russian dude whos freaking hilarious - why can all russian dudes be freaking hilarious.

I strongly disagree. Racism was much stronger 'back in the day', meaning it had to change for some reason. Specifically, that reason is a society that grey to be intolerant to racism; to look down upon someone who is so ignorant. Some may be quick to just dismiss this, but there's no better place to show people that such action is wrong then to start with yourself. :) Any one of us can confront him. Should he continue with that, then he should see the consequences. Sure it's just an online game. While he probably won't turn over a new leaf, an expulsion/deletion will show him we don't put up with that. And who knows? Maybe he'll be less likely to pass on that bigotry to others in the future. ^_^

Racism.. like the air you breathe.. with be a part of just about every generation past present and future. Their is no way for it to ever be overcome. If if only one races was left.. Its huuman nature to find flaws.. faults and weakness in others. If its not race it will be someo other identifing feature.

The hardest part of racism is overcoming it.. For anyone to true say they have done this.. and are not a racist. I find that very hard to believe. I openly admit whether it be in joking.. or in real life situations I am a racist. Not to the degree of hate crimes or violence... Or openly showing my thoughts on the matter. But I am aware of how I precieve things.. and how others present them. Also I'm not somoene who would post negative things towards one race or another.

There truely is no way to fight racism. Every race has a history.. and humans hold grudges. Everything you know about a race is based on your own little experience.. but more importantly the education you have recieved from family.. friends.. school and media. This will always effect your thinking.

I feel that the key to overcoming racism is understanding. Trying to put yourself in someone else's shoes before judging them. I have a lot of friends of different races and differetn backgrounds, and I respect them all. Several of them drive me crazy, but I realize that is not because of what they look like or who they are, but because of how stupid or annoying they are :bigsmile: I grew up in Durham, a city nototrious for violence and seperated poverty, at least in our own region. My family is now well-off, but growing up I did not have much, and lived in apartments in what was then a very bad part of town. Being exposed to that, and growing up with friends who lived worse than I did influenced me in both positive and negative ways. I feel I have a unique perspective on the world because I have seen and experienced things most of my current friends have not. My fellow students at university often do not understand the actions of others simply because they have never taken the time to get to know the person, or to talk to them about where they came from.

For example, I had a roommate over the summer who's family is from Nigeria. He is very, very dark-skinned, and very fit, I'm talking a strong kid - in short, a big black guy. He is a good person, but tends to look out for himself when needed, often being inconsiderate of another's situation. It is not because he means to hurt someone, but because he knows that the world is not going to look out for him, so he has to take what he can get. He works hard in school because he wants to make a good life for himself, out of the little that he has been given, and I respect that. When I see someone like that, I am more than heppy to share what I have been given, whether it be food, transportation, or even money, when needed.

Chris has always returned the favors, and I know he is always thankful, but my roommates do not see that. I walked in one night to hear them criticizing Chris, saying he is just using us to get what he needs, and that we should no longer help him. I was furious, and I went into much the same story I have told here. I have seen people in need, I know the mindset of these people. They take what they can get, but not without reason. Chris' family is very strict and very traditional, they kicked him out of his home for having a girlfriend, which he kept a secret from the family. From this background, it makes it tough on a person, and I understand that. I try and help other people as much as possible, and I encourage others to do the same. Talk to someone about what is happening, get to know a person. After that, you are free to make decisions for yourself about how you feel about that person, but for God's sake don't judge a person based on their skin color or accent before you have even met them.

Let's play the one-up game, shall we?

One time I wrecked my Dad's Porsche.

I drive my dad's BMW, since its the only car we own that has insurance, besides my mom's minivan. So I just carry the spare key, and they're pretty leniant about me driving places, so I can basically do my own thing. Anyway, I was out with friends, and we decided to call it a night early. School was the next day, and we had 10 PM curfews. So I dropped off my friend Jason at his house, and driving back back to my other friends house(There were four of us, and only two can drive. My other friend drives a jeep and was short on gas, so I was the one driving). So we get back to my friends house where my buddy's jeep is, and we decide to go our separate ways. It has been raining for a little while, but not a pouring rain, so I wasn't as careful as a I should have. I pull out of the neighborhood first, and see a couple cars coming. I think, "Heh, I can hurry and make it easily." So I goose it, and try to make a play. Well, my back wheels lose traction, and I start to skid out/drift into the other lane(Anyone who's gone around a curb too fast when the road's were slick know the kind of skidding I mean), and I about spin out in the middle of the road. I'm about to go into the oncoming traffic I just tried to beat, and all I knew to do was jerk the wheel in the opposite direction. When I did this, my rear tires gained traction, and just kinda shot me off the side of the road. A feat feet from the road was a light pole, and I accidentally plowed into it, totally smashing the front end.

The positive thing is I came out without a scratch. I was wearing my seat belt, but the air bags didn't deploy. So yeah, without the seat belt I'd be having reconstructive surgery on my face. And my parents are totally ticked at me, which only makes me feel worse inside. But they were glad that I didn't get hurt, and that this could be a valuable lesson in the long run. The police didn't give me a ticket either, since no one was in the car with me, no other cars were involved, and the weather conditions were crappy. As far as the car goes, we had full insurance on it, so the only hardship we're facing now is the onconvenience of not having the car around. We should be hearing from out insurance agent to see if they're gonna repair it or just total the thing. The car's worth between $7,000-8,000, so I think they'll repair it...hopefully. The radiator's busted, the engine and everything may be pushed back a foot or so, and we don't even know about what kind of shape the frame is in.

I'm not looking forward to the next few weeks. But hey, atleast it wasn't a porsche!:p BTW, Glad to have ya back, KB:)
