To stay on the rankings, you've got to atleast play ONE ranked game a week. Which, for the top players isn't easy, it would force them to come back to keep their rank.

Seriously: who has seen Stiffness, W-Mac, rantzu1, Big X, Dan U, carlos22, monkus, Warcow, PUNISHER, zzzaacckk, Hm, Let Me Think, doubledown, Codeman1, Justice, The Big Kahuna, or Deathwish PLAY a game in the past week?

I haven't seen any of them do so. I am aware Warcow didn't just sit on the ranks, he only just recently reappeared (and stats are up), but most of the rest of the list has just SAT and SAT and SAT for the past month. They're just giving their clan points without doing any work for them.

I made a rule for myself. If I go for a month without playing a game on banff and I have been logging onto banff so that I keep my ranked place, I have to start playing games again.

The problem isnt they have high stats, and noone should take them away. They simply need to step down for new people to play. it is upsetting to me that it is nearly impossible for newer players to have any high ranks. Also, if non active people were dropped, then only active people would be playing, then compittion and fluxuation is back in the rankings. The fact that ranks are purely ranked on stats is equally upsetting. Sadly, there is no "skill" ranks. They would be much more interesting. And no, I am not complaining becase I am a new player. (almost my 4th year). But anyway, thats all gold polotics, of which i care little. GREYS 4EVAAAAAAAA!

Sorry in being a little late on this, but I know what you mean. My personal problem is time. It's senior year first semester, and I'm applying to 14 colleges, including 7 Ivys, while managing 6 AP classes and being an officer in four extracurricular clubs. So excuse me if I don't have time to play TAO immediately. I put a lot of time into it during the summer, and I'm planning on putting time into it once school calms down.

Otherwise, I do agree, a lot of players don't really play on high-stat'd accounts anymore. I think interest in the game is just kind of waning a little bit.

eh, i dunno about interest. just that the relentless playing and development of startegy by the _top_ players is gone. that and general stat-whorishness has made everyone pick and choose their games. i remember in my lurking days seeing endless discussions on the strategy board (forget the accnt names) on some nit-picked aspect of the game.

i think blud's complaining more about the accounts that come on, fart around in the lobby, start and clan game and leave. the idea of a fighting champion needs to make a return.

I don't mind you not playing, and I can understand in your case monkus, because you're actually busy.

But some players actually just log on to keep their rank spots, and won't play anyone. They are still semi-active members of the community, but they just sit on the ranks.

If there were no rank sitting, I would be #3 on banff. I'm not saying I deserve that spot, nor that I really want it that badly, but being 11th, I think its a big difference from where I am now. 8 inactive players in the top 10 is a ridiculous amount (and there are a lot of inactive players in the top 10 for every server).

I don't know what happened.

I did see a post of yours on the legends forums wanting to join netjak on legends, but I didn't really see a problem with that. Rev has almost no requirements, and you'd probably meet the requirements we have for another server, so I don't see why you would get kicked out on rev.
