Meletus, I thought we covered this. Theres no need for apologies, there is no slackage. We have really had no discussio on that subject yet (perhap tonight when mikes on). So I see your doing this on your own steam. Oh yeah and I am knowledged in HTML. Not master or nuthing, however my dad is so I can consult him. Plus I can be creative, occasionally.

well congrats on the gold, I'll gaurantee you'll loveit. With the exception of the constant raging from grays. As for formation, I would say in it's design first decide the kind of player you are, offensive or defensive. Then build to that effect. If you have a setup you've seen or made one you like, build one to counter act that. That is the best way to improve. As each generaation of counteractive setup goes, the setup should get better and better.

Also, I think we should have an intra-clan tourney. I'd be willing to organize that if neccesary. I think it would be a good way to get everyone in the clan involved so we can meet new people. :)

Ok, so I was talking to DoesThisLookInfected a little bit ago about clan wars, and he said something about how we were starting one with some other clan, but its more of a rivalry than anything else. Rivalries are ok and all, but there has to be more than that, stuff that makes having clans fun to compete against others, to establish the alpha clan and such. I want to organize battles against other clans, I'll be the clan warfare organizer if you want or something. It'll go something like, 20 members of clan A, get matched up against 20 members of clan B. Whichever clan has the most accumulated points (ie wins against opponents), that clan is the winner. We could do 2 or 3 rounds of it too, mixing and matching opponents in each different around, so after 3 rounds, the clan with the most wins, wins, and is cooler for it. Tell me your thoughts guys.

yes through dicussions Kwarrior and I have decided that our two clans could be construct rivalries.. hence we are at "war", all in good fun of course. Granted I gave the war making control to Rescorlian.. can you imagine why..? read one of the 500 posts :)

But Jon if you and Res what to try and coordinate something with Kwarrior.. nicely mind you.. That would be cool. If you guys could get times, matches, and stuff set-up we can place the challenges and results up on the website.

So many clans have just formed alliances.. Us and that "other clan" have decided to take the route of an actual challenge. Yes there is no hatred towards one another.. Smack talking.. well thats a given and can only be done if followed up by victory.

The best players seems to flock to either one of our clans and it not just their stats that are impressive, the players and their tactics are great. It will be good to see who truely has the more strategic members. Judging alone by the ranking, it could easily be said that Si dominates. But there are far more factors involved.

And thus the challenge has been made, I do hope this far better than just a fist shaking thing. It should be a good healthly rivalary. As I have mentioned to the members who have seen me online and to those of KwOzmaj, there is no bad blood, nothing at stake, but much to gain in tactics.

I, personally, think that the Strategic Insomniacs a formidable and respectable clan as a whole. You have extrememly talented members, and your tactics are hard to surpass. KOTR, as you know, is offering an alliance toward all of you.

We want to form a friendly alliance because we think that you are one of the most respectable clans outside of KOTR and all of your members are great people.

This is not a formal offer by me, I was just throwing in my two cents about MY opinions toward your clan.

Oh, and I wish I could get into your website. I think it is unfriendly to not disclose ANY part of the community of your clan to others... is the Webmaster of the site ever going to consider just protecting Strategy Boards and inter-clan info? I would like to see the site, but I don't care about clan-secrets and such.... I just want to see the graphics, layout, etc......

And about Meletus's opinion on alliances... alliances do not mean that two clans cannot challenge each other and play each other in competetive spirit.... I believe it just is a guideline that promotes friendliness between the ally clans and cooperative growth.... Hehehe..... I sound like manager.....

Anyways, just my two cents. Great clan, and I hope KOTR and The Strategic Insomniacs form an alliance one day soon! :D

Regarding the website..
you should be able to see all that is offered to outsiders... the members pages aren't that special just a way for us to keep tabs on the drop times, say hello, and post images. Don't worry more outside pages will be coming soon and you'll see some of the graphics and hopefully our match results.

Growth is good... It is what we would like to promote. Alliances are bad.. I wasn't totally ripping on em.. Fact is our challenge is friendly.. I hope through our matches both clans learn from each other. I do every game... I learn I am getting rusty.. which is wierd for a lil over a month old game.

I hope we get along with all the clans. But that is Rescorlians Dept.. He is our Ministry of War, and Chocolates.

LOL Bobo, it seems that way. Well I guesss it could be related to the fact that as a clan we have the highest iq, and thus will argue and stand up for what we want/beleieve. But hey, I'm proud of myself.

speaking of good greys, i played one today called johnny402 (i could be wrong on the numbers). Now, i've never lost to a grey, i haven't even come close. But halfway through the hour long game i was convinced that i'd lose. I ended up winning, but not by much (i was almost ready to offer a draw!)

He said he wasn't really intrested in joining a clan, and i was kind of in a hurry so i just left it at that, but he is definitely the best grey i've ever played.

OKay everyone who is having problems. It is really simple. The members page requires a username and password. Then it places a cookie on your computer so you can view the pages that lie within. When you logout it deletes this cookie so no one else can use that PC and access the site. Unless of course you have allows remember usernames and passwords selected.

Sorry that I've taken so long to post this, I am a lazy pile. And oh yeah, it would be a pleasure to play in that tourny, anyways, heres the clan war info. A warning, this may take a couple of posts from me, it's a lot of stuff.

Ok, so this may seem like a lot of incoherent stuff, and lots of rules and such, but this is the system that I've come up with for a clan war, since there is no such thing implemented into TAO at the moment....deep breath....here goes. Oh also, I'm kind of writing this as though I were posting on kwozmaj's thread, so I can maybe just copy and paste most of this shit.

- Excluding kwomajs's response, the war will be tentatively scheduled at 9pm CST on Sunday the 11th. So that means be logged onto Banff at 8:45pm.

- How many members can our clan and their clan muster for this? I believe that 7 vs 7 would be the minimum for this to happen. 16v16 would be excellent though and Rescorlian believes that both clans can get enough, 8 golds and 8 greys.

- The war will be divided into two rounds.

- Opponents will be randomly selected from both sides to play each other, golds will play golds and greys will play greys. And what I mean by random, is that I'll probably actually get 4 different hats, some paper, and a pen.

- Battles will be held on Floor 6, and if that fills up then Floor 7 will also be used. If you join a table, and some asshole jumps in before you opponent can get in, then (if you don't give a damn about your stats like I do) just quit, but if you do care, then please do finish him off quickly so that you can begin your match.

- When you are done with your first match, you and your opponent will both announce the winner of the match, and it will be recorded.

- If there is a disconnection during your match, such as your cat bumped the power cord, or you said the word "cabinet" (or any other retarded word that the filter boots you out for), then that sucks. By default you will lose that match, and your opponent will take the win. UNLESS, your opponent agrees to a redo. But that said opponent is under no obligation to fulfill that request.

- The 2nd round of battles will commence when you are done with your 1st round battle, and your opponent for your 2nd round battle is done with his 1st one. You two will start right away, as I can see this clan war maybe taking a while.

- If you are late for your 1st round battle, then you have forfeited that game and your opponent will take the win. A replacement may be used for you if the said opponent agrees.

- If after the 1st round battle, you have to leave for some reason, you forfeit your 2nd round battle, unless a replacement is around and if your 2nd round opponent agrees to playing against your replacement.

- At the end of the 1st round, points will be calculated (as in, one person winning their game, that counts as one point for that clan) and posted, the same for the end of the 2nd round, points will be added, and voila, the victorious clan will be revealed and with it the bragging rights.

- It has been suggested that we play 3 rounds, and I would love to do this. I think that we keep doing the 3rd round in mind, but make it a touch and go sort of deal. Like I mentioned earlier, I can see this taking a long time. But if the first 2 rounds go smoothly and do not take a godawful amount of time, a 3rd round will be held with new opponents and all of the above mentioned rules apply to this 3rd round.

- One suggestion I have, don’t play anyone from the opposing clan before the clan war date, so that your super secret formation isn’t revealed or whatever.

I do realize that this is a lot of crap to remember, but this is kind of a trial run clan war system. I don't know how they do it on Legends, but this is a kind of precedence that we're setting over here. After this war is over, we will be able to evaluate it, and I would very much like to hear what was good about it, and what was bad about it. The clan war system will then evolve into a better and more efficient thing. But for now, please keep the suggestions to the minimum, I want to try this set up out and see how it works. But I will field any questions :-)

I think now is a good time to post about what our clan is doing. We have spent the last couple of weeks gaining members and we have the best. Not just players, people. I thank all the people in our clan that I have met and played because they have been polite, active in the forums, helping greys, and REALLY tuff to play ;) I think the next step is to organize our clan.

Now, on to clan warfare and tournies. WHO WANTS SOME! We need to know who can actually commit to playing at certain times and whos just part time players like me. The people who have the time to do tournys and wars will be our clans representives. Don't worry though. As a representive of this clan you will be well prepared because the best part about inner clan fighting is you can test and practice your best setups and move without a loss. Please post if you want to represent and ask anyone you see online in SI to post also. It would be nice to see whos part time and who can wage ware.

Side note, if no one wants participate in clan wars and tournys thats fine to. I just wanted to get the ball rolling and see if we are ready as a clan for the next step. If not then ohh well. All of us are having a good time and making friends as we go and thats good too.

It was one helluva match. We both had fairly similar setups to start. He started out goin after my cleric with his scout. I got lucky and his little scout didn't do much blocking so that was relatively painless. I traded a pyro in the process. It went kinda slow for a while as we were feelin each other out. Then he made a charge with his witch/pyro/knight. It was actually pretty tough to keep them at bay. We traded knights at that point, and then retreated to our respective sides. Then I decided to take a shot at the cleric. This was were I got screwed. I had my scout/knight/and pyro all on the offensive. I got a little caught of guard and he hit my knight/pyro with his witch, and then with the pyro. OUCH! Was kinda funny though, I had 2 knights, lw, and cleric left and he had 2 knights, pyro, lw, and assasin left. I took out the pyro, he took out my assasin. One of my knights was low in health so all it did was some damage to one of the knights. Naturally I retreated to my lw. He followed and took out my cleric but my lw made him pay. I took a knight and asassin down to 1 hit kills each. I had a knight with 50 hp, and he had his 2nd knight at 50 hp. I got lucky and took out the first knight on my next turn. Then it came down to luck, and his assasin blocked the next two attempts and he finished me off with his knight with a FRONT attack. Ugh. Luck was just not on my side, but it was still a great match. I hope demonicgod does a lil better than me. :)

I have no control over when they will reboot their servers.. Everything is back up, fourms and Members page.. Gimme about another month and I'll transfer the whole thing over to 4thfactor.
