Gold Accounts

Hi all!

I'm new to these forums and new to this game so first just a hello to the community!

Just got a question for the gold account holders. I've been playing this game just for a couple of days and found it purely by chance from a link on a addictive flash games site but I have become kind of hooked.

The question I want to know is, is it worth upgrading to a gold account? Are you all happy with them? I have had a look at what I would get and it definitely sounds good. Does anyone feel like they get good value for money? I know its only 5 USD but with so many things only costing 5 USD I tend to spend a fortune.

Your comments would be appreciated.

for future reference, pls keep in mind there is a noob section specifically there to help people like yourself get acquainted with the community and to make your "hello" thread.
That being said, the mods will likely move this one there.

to answer your question, its all up to personal choice. I've been gold on my army account for going on..20 months almost now. I've had multiple accounts going most of that time, though the accounts themselves have become varied.

Anyways, if your playing it, want to get the full experience and really be a true member of tao, go for it. Its not for everyone, but I think its totally the way to go.

yes it is worth it, but the worst thing you can do is order a gold right away, get a feel for strategy, and playing and get good as a grey before you start playing gold

Ok thanks all! I'll give it a go for a month and if I’m still hooked I’ll join the elite and grab a gold account. I love games like this and it’s nice to hear that this one has longevity. Hopefull I'll stop geting my arse kicked soon ;)

Warcow, remember your clan is one of the biggest clans out there, and the most prestigous. of course people are going to hear about it, especially some interested in the game,

and i kinda like this noob, he has more sense than any others ive met

Thanks Roamingstorm, I play on the Great Lakes server so far, lunchtimes and evenings mostly but sometimes I can get away with it at work when its quite :) I'm trying to learn so stratergy atm, the guides here are good tho!

No actually, I have never been in any other clan than the Elite on Warcow, and on greys, only the grey Elite and the Gold Jumpers.

And to answer your question, I think being a gold is definitely worth the money. For me, lately I've been having computer problems and haven't been able to battle, but before that it was great. Also, you can talk without having tot wait 8 seconds in between, so you can have better conversations. I like it. But I'm also very into the game. So, what Megabyte said, it's all personal choice.

Thanks for the welcome Mushroom_Girl. I play on the great lakes server atm. If you feel like teaching a n00b a thing or two give me a shout. I could do with someone telling me what they think and maybe a few pointers on what I do wrong if its not giving away trade secrets. I'm about most weekday evenings and lunchtimes... eh... uk that is :)

I also vouch for the coolness of being a gold. If you feel like learning some grey coolness, I'll check and see if you're on right now.

and there's nothing wrong with playing grey, just gotta accept certain things about the game is all.
