I could see a possiblty to that unit. Although all it really is a scout with shorter range and higher power. So in that case as seeing that, it would need a tone down on power. Also if he has that great of range would be the point of acutally letting him teleport. Just give him a medium movement range and he should be fine for picking targets.

Is the attack subject to LoS?

If not, that's too powerful, since you would have a 50/50 chance to destroy a Cleric on your first turn if you put him on your front line.

Even subject to LoS, it's incredibly powerful: the power of a Dragon with more range, and more flexible range. Granted, it's got less defence, but then again it's only worth one unit.

Methinks the power should be toned down; maybe to 22?

where is the blocking and no riorius you dont have a fifty percent chance if you put your cleric in the center than you should have a unit 5 squares in front of it

what he means that if you have the first move, and you have this unit front and center, you could tele into range of his cleric just about anywhere and kill it on your first turn.

1. You can't put a unit five squares in front of your cleric in your initial formation.

2. Even if you have a unit five squares in front of your cleric, that only helps if the Dark Sage is in the same column as the Cleric. Remember, this isn't the same attack style as the Witch; he has a Scout attack range. Meaning if he's right beside your unit who's five spaces away from the Cleric, he can hit.

3. Lemme give you a diagram:

[x][x][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][x][x]
[x][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][x]
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][S][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ] <- player one can put units up to this row
[A][A][A][M][M][M][M][M][A][A][A]
[A][A][A][A][M][M][M][A][A][A][A] <- player two can put units up to this row
[A][A][A][A][A][M][A][A][A][A][A]
[ ][A][A][A][A][A][A][A][A][A][ ]
[x][ ][A][A][A][A][A][A][A][ ][x]
[x][x][ ][A][A][A][A][A][ ][x][x]

The S is where the Dark Sage is, front and center. The M is where he can move, and the A is where he can attack (if he moves before attacking). He can hit any space in enemy territory except for six. I now believe I miscalculated the 50% chance, and really it is much higher, a 5/7 chance (assuming the Cleric is at a random position on the back row).

Now, let's say there's a Lightning Ward front and center on player two's side:

[x][x][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][x][x]
[x][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][x]
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][S][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ] <- player one can put units up to this row
[A][A][A][M][M][M][M][M][A][A][A]
[A][A][A][A][M][W][M][A][A][A][A] <- player two can put units up to this row
[A][A][A][A][A][A][A][A][A][A][A]
[ ][A][A][A][A][A][A][A][A][A][ ]
[x][ ][A][A][A][A][A][A][A][ ][x]
[x][x][ ][A][A][A][A][A][ ][x][x]

Nothing changes with regards to the back row. Now, let's say he's got his three Knights front and center:

[x][x][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][x][x]
[x][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][x]
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
[ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][S][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ] <- player one can put units up to this row
[A][A][A][M][M][M][M][M][A][A][A]
[A][A][A][A][K][K][K][A][A][A][A] <- player two can put units up to this row
[A][A][A][A][A][A][A][A][A][A][A]
[ ][A][A][A][A][A][A][A][A][A][ ]
[x][ ][A][A][A][A][A][A][A][ ][x]
[x][x][ ][A][A][A][A][A][ ][x][x]

Nothing changes again. You know why? He has a range of 5. If he's in the middle row, where neither player can put a unit in the initial formation, he can hit the back row. That means that in any of the five places he can move in the middle row, he can hit the corresponding space on the back row.

That range with that power and no LoS = Cleric kill almost certain.

besides, i think that since i gave it a low defence and that it has a shitty hp, it really evens the whole thing out

So, you think that it's balanced for you to replace the weakest unit in your formation with a unit that will most likely instantly kill your opponent's Cleric (a piece which can make or break the game), and have a chance of still living to do some more damage? Well, lemme tell you right now: you're wrong.

And I'm not obsessed, just thorough. I like to provide overwhelming evidence in hopes to inform even the dumbest community members.

Finally, for future reference, it's considered standard etiquette to not make two posts in a row. If you have something new to say, edit your most recent post instead of making a new one. (only bumps are exempt from this rule)
