Why did u choose Great Lakes?

I saw this thread on the banff threads so i decided to bring it over here, when u first saw those 4 servers, whyd u pick great lakes?

I picked gl cause i knew my name was going to be brainfreeze, and the frost golem was there :cool:

I first chose army cuz there was a dragon (back then GL had a few sticks with some fabric draped over it)...

Then I went over to legends... but eventually, I had to pick one of the fps servers to become gold... and GL was the easiest one to access :cool:

Because Lake Michigan is my favorite lake and I camped on its shores for one night. It was a beautiful night. The day after, we had a long drive to Niagara Falls. Also, that day I had a gigantic ice-cream cone. Yeah, that was a good day around the Great Lakes. I think I was probably 12 or 13 when I went. :)

I chose GL because it was the only server worth going to when I was new.

Well, that and Legends.

Basically, the same as what Crx said, except I didn't choose the easiest one to access, simply chose the server whose name was closest to my residence (since in some games you get better reception when you're on a more local server; learned that on Diablo II).

Unfortunately, Great Lakes are still thousands of miles away from Hawai'i, so...

The honest truth is, just because it's the first server to choose from. And I thought the BW contraption was cool.

haha i chose GL way back when there was a BW also....but i chose it then because that was the default one and i was too lazy to move the mouse to another server...pretty muchs ame reason why i'm still here, however i did go to banff for a while

The only servers I remember seeing when I started Great Lakes were GL and Legends... I played both, then stuck with GL.

Well,i chose great lakes because:

1: Its the first server the game starts on so i didnt bother to change the little red dot thing,lol.

2:I'm Canadian,so great lakes is my home :)

3:GL is the best place to get the most + best quality games.

Anyways I chose because my friend Lakelord, said he was on that server and it was the best one

by that he means the very first pic for GL was a lightning ward
and i chosse it cos a friend at school was playing it hes name is gandalf the gold and made me account on there so ive played there ever since!
