Two-purpose thread.

The first purpose is to knock Elemental's silly "OMFG I BEET FRYLOK!!!111" thread off the top of this forum. :)

The second purpose. I challenged Stiffness to a game. He said turtle, I said fine. I don't mind either turtle or freestyle. He said no GA. I said fine. He said no wisp or mages. I said fine. I said "OK, deploy top right and we'll have an opposite side match, as turtles are meant to be". He said "That's stupid, don't make rules like that". :rolleyes:

I pointed out that he had made 4 rules already, was I not allowed to make one? He said that's not the point. I would know where he was deploying and could move to counter it. I pointed out that if I had wanted to cheat him that way, I could merely have made a rush to beat his turtle. He still refused to let me make a rule of my own, saying "No rules". I said that saying turtle, no GA DSM or wisp sounded a lot like making rules to me. He grew bored and turned down my challenge.

I had wondered how he got 1650 rating on Banff. Now I know. He only plays game he thinks he'll win. The faintest sniff of losing and he refuses to play.

How sad.

So, I'm not the only one who realizes Stiffy is garbage? I've played him in 2 games, the first took amazing luck (and his myriad of rules for the game) for him to win, the second he power-turtled against his own rules and still lost to my turtle. I don't think Stiffy has played an honest game in his TAO career.

So umm, is this all Joker's Wild is made of? I've already expressed my opinions about Stiffy in other threads, but check out these s/s of Banff lobby today: I don't remember who, but one of our SI grays said Stiffy agredd to a gray game then used 2 scouts:

Notice that Bob was there one second, then left when I asked for a game. They're all a bunch of cheaters. But if that is what it takes for them to get it up ... :eek:

JW seems to be full of egomaniacal freaks, there site claims they already run all 4 servers, yet I havnt seen any of them on GL, and they seem to have 4-5 truly good players on other servers

In all honesty, I'm not sure whether he did it deliberately. After all, if he wanted to cheat, he could have used the more powerful gold units available. So I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that it was a mistake.
However, no question that the extra scout won him the game but it was very close.

I also made a mistake against him once when he asked me for a freestlye game with no DSM but I missed that comment of his, and included a DSM in my form.

However, his smart ass comment of me getting 1st turn did get on my nerves...

I'm very glad you brouoght this topic up, Exiled. It is peculiar how Stiffness got his stats that high and he clearly needs to be open to other kinds of games besides those to his exact specification.

Haha, good times one day. I remember it was the time when good ol' Stiffy was on and I beat him in a turtle game. Then Bludhoundz did. Then Draquist did. It was like the whole Si was against Stiffness.

We can't put up with this. Knock his stats down. Although he has a 1-3 record (Stiffy's favor), he can be beaten just as easily as any 1500 gold.

I was working on an anti-rush on rev and I couldn't find a challenge. My gold, "Devast", resides on Banff but I rarely play there anymore. I usually play gray at GL because I recently got invited into Bushido Gaiden and I rather like the community there.

Anyway, considering I couldn't find a gold match on revelation, I skipped to Banff where Stiffness immediately challenged me to a match. I've learned a lot about Stiffness from reading this thread and apparently he only wanted a match because he believed he could defeat me. I accepted his challenge and he says no GA or DSM. I agree, and he asks which type of match I want. I say, "Whatever works. Freestyle is fine." OK, he seems like a good guy from here. We both have a same side anti-rush. The match goes on and I miss a dragon front shot then hit it from the front a few times with my scout and knight. I save my scout from a second dragon shot by moving knights in the areas that he would need to put his dragon to to kill my scout. He recklessly moves his Scout up to hit my cleric. I heal. I eventually kill his scout. He moves his other scout into LW range but I side shot his scout instead, he heals, then I LW it. He shoots and kills my cleric with his other scout. I am quite fine with this because I had now taken out all his range (mud and 2 scouts).

As the match goes on, I get a, what I saw MAY have been the match without incredible luck, a scout front block - His knight missed my scout from the front (it was at 18 health). I'm not sure what would have occured if he killed it, but in the end it was a close match. He seemed like a nice kid. He asks for a draw, but I rarely get to raise my stats on Banff against a 1700 gold and others really don't like him so I disagree, but I promise him a rematch in the future.

I win, but I find it funny how he accidentally typed "/v his luck caused me the game". I was disappointed how he would tell JW about this even though I got an invite (though I preferred to be unclanned). I wish luck wasn't a factor in our game.
