there really should be a chat logging feature of some sort. it would make stories like this easier to tell. I was playing against someone who, as soon as the game began, told me to press F5 to get golems (i dont think he bothered to look at my rec beforehand). so i said "okay" and told him i had pressed it. he said "no you didnt" and I defended the fact that i did. After all, how could he tell me he knew without giving himself away? :D So right after that he told me that if I surrender he will tell me the "secret code to get golems". Being a fan of ironic humor, i asked him how to surrender. i kept telling him it didnt work, and at some point he gave up on trying to teach me how to surrender (3 units + lit ward + cleric vs 6 + 2 wards + cleric). So he started to take the full turn time. Being the benevolent person that i am, i advised him to enter his secret golem code and give himself some golems in order to turn the game around. after which he explained that it puts them in settings. what a shame :rolleyes:
at some point he may have noticed that he had no hope of winning no matter how long his turns took, because he left. it was funny while it lasted tho :D

Oh I love people like that, it's sooo much fun :D The power of F5 and don't forget the also powerful Alt + F4. That's a big "code" too. They usually get some of the computer illiterate newbs. It's fun to lead them on, especially if they don't even notice how many games you have played.

1. never heard of alt+f4, but i'm guessing it resets the game
2. anyone that thinks that this game would give you free units just by pushing something and not paying for anything either is gullable beyond belief- even i wouldn't fall for it- and i'm gullable-

alt-f4 is a windows command that closes programs.
and pushing buttons certianly gave that guy free units ;)
its a shame it doesnt work for me :D

i usually pretend like i dont understand and that i just started but then rip them cause they dont try, they just tell me to hit f5

Just tell them that you hit F5 when they told you. Just pretend that you did it, it drives them CRAZY, i love it. :D

I tell them straight up that it refreshes.

I act very naive about it, and act as if I really believe that there's an F5 cheat, but my own personal computer must have been screwed up because it always refreshes the game for me.

So then they try and convince me to do it again, telling me that it's "going to work this time."

Good fun, because I then seem naive enough that it's possible to have it work.

I was playing with another Pyro Pirate, i guess he was a noob because he didnt know that when u play against your clan members the loses or wins dont count. So right when the game starts he tells me to press F5. In a regular battle i would joke around and play tricks on a person. But this was a Pyro Pirates member so i said: "For trying to trick me I will hack your TAO so when u win a game it wont record it" and I just left. I never seen him since... mouhahaha [jk]
