Why have some people joined more than one clan. As I look at the Warlords roster, I see Wurtil and Abyaly, two people in our clan, and Wurtil is also leader of the Legion of Doom. MasterGolem applied and got all the neccesary votes for our clan and is on the member list, but it seems during that time he was also part of Something Wicked. What's up?

We were wondering that too. I sent a message to Renegade last night when I heard the rumor which appears to be true.

Well, to be honest, Wurtil bills himself as a Dark Lord. Isn't that what they're supposed to do?
I mean, he likes to roll play, maybe he's just roll playing.
In that case, I think he deserves to be an 'honorary' member, due to his amusing roll playing.
Agree?
Or he could just secretly be a jerk or stupid, I don't know.
But I'm going with roll playing.
I have no idea what the other ones are.
Come to think of it, we had a guy join our clan, then right after started his own clan, while continuing to be in ours.
I wonder if these people are disloyal, or just don't understand the concept of clans.
I guess it's up to us to decide whether we allow members to be in other clans... Also, abyaly is still one vote short of membership in KOTR.

Having somebody in more than one clan defeats the purpose of having clans.
In the Scottish Highlands, you didn't have guys with double sided kilts fighting for the MacBeths in the morning and the MacDuffs in the afternoon.
Then again, maybe that could work.
Maybe to promote inter-clan alliances, you could have people in both clans.
Kind of like an inter-clan marriage. Except there's not many girls to marry. :p
That could work for TWC and KOTR, except those clans don't like each other.
Just a thought.

Well, Abyaly is already a member of TWC. I would hope that your members would take that into a consideration when voting. We try our utmost not to accept people already pledged to another clan and I'd hope you would do the same, all RP and clan wars aside.

The Dark Lord Wurtil is a member of the Warlords? When did this happen? Granted, the Dark One signed up to their forum to see if anything interesting was happening, but I do not recall ever announcing membership there. Also, the Minions of Doom have fallen on hard times, as most members simply do not exist anymore. Wurtil can see why every clan would want to list me on their roster, for the power of the Dark Lord is undeniable. *sigh* Oh the torment of being such a popular Dark Lord.

Yeah, makes sense Sorsha.
But what does everyone think of my ideas there?

By registering to get into our members only forums (and posting several messages in them) it was easily construed that you were a member, Wurtil. I suppose I will remove you from everything. It is very rude however to be active in a members only section of a clan forum, then claim you weren't a participating member.

I agree.
However, he IS a Dark Lord. That's what he does.
Wurtil, you're scum. Again, Dark Lord. :p

Amazing, the Dark Lord is so powerful that he posted in a members only thread without realizing that he posted in a members only thread. The Dark Lord simply found it amusing to investigate your website and your forum therein contained. The Dark Lord believes that he was able to post in your members only forum by responding to the most recently updated thread mentioned at the bottom of your webpage. Indeed, it would never grant the Dark One access to the member's only section, so it was assumed from Wurtil's end that it was impossible for him to post there. Sometimes I fall down in awe of myself at the power I hold without knowledge of what exactly it is that I contain.

Here you are role playing(wait a second, I've been spling roll rong! Good lord! Killer_kev was right!) and you turn your back on the clan that is most interested in role playing.
I thought you'd be better off with TWC. But, I guess you gotta go where you feel you fit in best.
Beneath the boot of KOTR! :)

the only reason people that join more than one clan are weak. if the clan they are in is losing and gets slaughtered. they run and hide in thier other another clan. they have no honor and would rather run then fight along thier brotheren. they are cowards!!!Remember the KCK. That is all that matters.

registering for a forum is NOT a clan application, whichever way you look at it. you really should put together a clearer system

You knew they were recruiting.
If you didn't want to join, you should have had the decency to let them know.
But you obviously lack decency.
No wonder the KOTR wants you in their clan.
They seem to get a lot of disloyal backstabbers in there.
And talk about low standards. Even I got an invitation to join. Which proves how pathetic their standards are. ;)
I see on their clan info. page, they claim to have an alliance with The Legion of Doom. Didn't they end when Wurtil joined your clan? He ran the group, gave people the impression that he was in TWC, and then joined you.
Did their clan come back, or are you just confused?
Bah! Y'all suck! :)

Yes, this is very confusing. Maybe once the game is more revolved around clans, if it becomes that way at all, all shall be found, wisdom shall be obtained, and the Dancing Banana shall forever more become a shrine to happiness.

so you say that after i registered for the forum and decided i didnt like them, i should have posted a message in their forum saying i didnt want to join their clan? you dont think that kind of thing might be taken as an insult and/or make the person who did that seem concieted?
maybe that's the sort of thing you do - whether from being concieted yourself or you just like to insult people - but, personally, i dont like to do that sort of thing

This is just foolish.
Which shows why KOTR let you in.
You're saying it's better to say nothing, and cause hurt feelings after the fact, than to send a simple pm thanking them very much for their offer, but you don't feel their clan is right for you?
Yeah, you're a master of Etiquette, aren't you?
How is telling somebody their clan isn't right for you conceited or insulting? It's not. TWC is a bunch of decent people, they'd understand if you did it politely. Instead you insulted them by letting them think you were in their clan, when you weren't.
Conceited is bringing this out in the forum, acting like you're some big prize.
Speaking of that, posting in their forum would be insulting, but posting it here where everybody goes is fine?
Get a life.

seriously this discussion should be best left between the representatives from KOTR and TWC for the time being. lets not make this a flame war.

Well, if you wanna be sensible about it.... :D
I was just standing up for them, as my clan is allied with their clan.
However, I see Sorsha is online now. I'll make her aware of this, and gracefully back out.

Something Wicked is just fine, thank you for asking. If you ever see Drunken Dragon or LondenJack, they could probabley give you a more detailed report. I don't know what I was talking about. Just thought it sounded cool. How is everyone? Sorry about the dog poo Snork. Just seems to happen around the Comic Book Guy I guess......

yea ok sorsha and I have worked out this out in general. this incident was just a bit of a missunderstanding gone wrong, but we plan to take more aggressive action in there is a recurance of this sort of multi-clanning. i suggest we leave this behind, we have enough reasons to for inter-clan bickering already!

Well, it's nice to see somebody taking a sensible approach to this. Working it out rather than causing hurt feelings.
Glad it was settled in an adult manner. As far as we know. :)

abyaly has just brought some information to my attention.
I'd just like to say sorry for my misconceptions.
I was just teasin' you. But maybe I was a little harsh when I wrote it.
And pondering the info. you gave me, I'd say I was wrong on some things.
And for that I'm sorry. :)
I also appreciate your pleasant manner when you pm'd me to share some previously unknown details with me. Thanks very much for being so reasonable in your pm's. :)
I still think KOTR has low standards though. :p

Looks like he may be clan surfing (I heard he's joining KOTR and then planning on dropping them too). I say ban him from clans if he is. He joined us after we rehashed and rewrote all our joining info after the other supposed confusion, so there's no excuse if he is.
