heres a thought:
hp - 35
power - 20
movement - 3 squares
armor - 20
recovery time - 1 turn
attack - i can't decide for him/her to have a pistol or a cutlass.
appearence - for a female pirate, a bandanna the color that your team is on her head, white shirt, dark brown hair, and black pants. for a male pirate a black pirates hat a beard, long black hair, a vest of your color, and pants striped white and your color.
i'm thinkig that for the pistol it would just be like the scout's attack and for the cutlass to be like the knights. tell me what you think

I think it's a pretty good idea

thanks Skaled. but im thinking that the block percentage should be about 50 % with cutlass 30% with pistol

Hmm. Yeah. Perhaps also make them be able to throw a knife as ranged attack once in each battle? or something like that?

good idea, or maybe the cutlass could swing and hit one square in front and the two diagonal squares.

or what would be cool if he/she could switch between the cutlass and pistol but it takes up a turn or two.

How about both a cutless and a pistol? he could attack any adjacent square with his cutless for 20 but he would have a recovery time of 2 or he could shoot with his pistol and somthing up to 4 squares away for 15 with a recovery time of 1

I don't really like the idea of a pirate, to tell the truth. He's cool and can kill things with his cutlass and revolver and all, but where does he really fit in with the rest of the units? Enchantress, Pyromancer, Stone Golem, Pirate? He doesn't really belong in the medieval magic setting. Now, a japanese man with a sword and ancient rifle, I can kind of place.

Sorry, insider @ "veteran" TAO.
There is a role-player who thinks he is a pirate and actually we want our Pirate with a wooden leg, eyepatch and a parrott on his shoulder :D

I think pirates are great. I'm just saying that they don't really continue with the strain of units, like the robot brute the other person wrote. Robots weren't around back then. Maybe he could be a medievil pirate, who knows? I'm just saying he sounds like 19th century "aaaaarr" kind of pirate. Boy, does it look like I'm trying to sound politically correct in this post. Whew.

I'm just trying to think how far back they had pistols. They were a pretty big thing. Maybe he has a rifle? It could have a bayonet, to elimenate the cutlass, but a pirate needs his cutlass. Also, if we called him a "rogue" we could make him exactly the same thing, while making it kind of fit into TAO.

now your thinking. yeah we could have both. i'll think of some stats for the rogue.
