i think to slove a lot of problems the person who is challenging should play the form of the other players choice as long as they are higher ranked. seeing as u are out to get there stats u should be kind enough to use their form preference.just a suggestion might help some of u might not but these are the rules i generally go by.

Agreed.

Considering that the higher ranked player has most to lose, the challanger should agree to those terms. Moreover, the challenger will most likely be able to get other challenges with the same player if he keeps his word on the formations they agree to.

never meant for it to work or happen. i just think if more people followed the same premesis it would make gl a lot more enjoyable and much more competitive. seeing as i have this forum account i thought i'd try and put it to some good use :)

I don't think it should be decided by who has higher stats--I think it should be determined by who is being challenged.

So if a higher stat person challenges a lower stat person, they fight on the lower stat person's premises.

I think making the rule that rigid will never work. Just keeping the idea of agreeing on a battle form or not, and following that, is better. If someone doesn't want to fight a certain form, nothing should MAKE them do so.

I have always played "open challenges," and I see no reason to change that now.

My opponents will always jump me, not the reverse.
They will never know what setup I will use.
I will never know what setup they use.
I do not do requests.

Or you just don't set rules at all... there are already rules in the game... why add your own? If you don't like the rules of the game, find another one. I've heard all the excuses for turtle only... sounds to me those guys woudl be much happier playing chess.

I wouldn't go that far. But if two people choose to play a certain style, fine. But one should never be able to make the other play a certain style. It's a matter of choice.

Dude, why do you people care about match type so much? I mean why do you have to determine what kind of matches to play? It isnt fun and me, I play everyone.

It isn't fun when you play someone that can get your vital units units without using skill on the first 5 turns.

I totally agree,If someone just dosent want to play a certain style, fine but at least tell them that you WONT go the style that they proposed so they can go the same style as you or something.

P.S., CRX, rules on TAO are exceptionally lax--no cheating or spamming. Grey jumping, cybering, and other, well, illegal acts are not punishable by TAO rules. (Hacking, for instance--whether through shared passes or not.)

Some of us think in different ways of cheating. I think you can grey jump noobs after you are passed 1450 since you start not getting stats from them at 1400.

I don't play against GAs. If I challenge somebody and they don't accept that, I won't play them then. And vice versa.

i prefer to rush in most cases so if some1 challenges me to a turt i will probably decline unless its worth my while and they are ranked higher then me.
