NOTE: Some of this idea is similar to the Poison Ward made by Chrono423, although I noticed this after making the unit.

Description: This rusty machine was found near a factory at one time. Its pollution made everyone around it ill and eventually, deaths spread like a plague. This ward was re-created over and over again as a weapon for intruders, and soon it's power was beyond control.

Blocking:
This is a ward, so its blocking is 100% from all sides.

Health: 40

Attack pattern:
All units within its range are poisoned without any initial damage.

*For those who don't know, a poisoned unit can move out of the poison at any time and receives 4 damage each turn that passes.

Attack range:
3 spaces.

Recovery time:
4 turns. *** This unit has focus time, though units can move away from the poison.

Appearance: Rusty ward; tilted to one side, slightly smaller than the lightning ward, a little larger than the barrier ward. Some malnourished vines draped over the ward lol

It's a good attempt at a first unit, although it is very overpowered as it stands now...

With all spaces within range being poisoned, You could block off half of your field with the psychological threat of any unit in that range being poisoned..

Overall, I don't like it...
But it is a good attempt.

Well, it does have focus and once you attack it with a simply scout, it needs to "restore" 3 turns and your units only take 4 damage.

perhapse if u could target a sigle unit.... like the other wards

Well once again, it would be really weak if it only targetted one unit, as the unit could walk away or a scout could snipe the Rusty Ward.

This unit would bring a lot of strategy into games like rushes, stopping immediate destruction of your form.

It's a pretty fair unit similar to the poison wisp, but also much different.

I agree, its a little overpowred. Maybe lowering the range to 2?

Okay, the attack pattern is edited.

Now, does everyone agree this is fair?

Also, btw, how do moderators find out about future unit ideas? /noob

nothing here is ever made a unit.

pretty good unit.

What a dream crusher. Cu, you're not actually supposed to mention that part, just let everyone keep making units on the false hope that they are making a difference in the TAO community

However, making heroes exercise our creative abilities, and even if there is false hope, it gives us a reason to create units and somewhat a sense of unity.

Well, I like this unit. Although it's nothing too special, it isn't very overpowered or anything.

Well you hurt my feelings.

Anyway, maybe a mod will see this and get inspired!

Sorry for bumping an old thread and double posting, but can someone (Mith or LT) offer this up for the poptential gold unit list? I'm not trying to be cocky, but it might have some potential.
