Could you tell me what you don't like (without the length of the text ^^)
I dont think its a noob cannon, because you have to set the attack of it and it can thereby be avoided. It only runs over units it has killed in the first place, anyway ^^.

its not a n00b cannon. its wastes turns and doesnt always go through a unit. you d have to set a charge at 3 units or 1 will move and thus it becomes less powerful. besides it can only chrge 4 spaces.

it takes some strategic movement out. it can kill mages and clerics in one turn. its still almost as powerful as a knight without the super attack. furgons would have another enemy to deal with. whichever side you have this on, if the game happenes to be more same side ish then you win... possiblities of abuse are endless

Hm lets see
It can't charge through a knight.
It can't flank all that good (its movement is slow with 3, like a knight)
It can't kill any units that avoid it.
When it gets rushed by an enemy unit, it doesn't charge effectively, so you can prevent an attack and hit it (it has quite low blocking for a fighting unit)
You always have the chance of dismounting it.
If your dont protect your cleric, it is your fault.
Basically, yes, it has abusive potential, but i dont think you need no skill to play it and use it's whole potential.
(And yes, it can easyily rush trough shrubery, but the ice golem behind it (there is bound to be one) will take care of the chevalier easily)
EDIT: You like every idea, wizard_99
