Gold Games?

*Disclaimer* I'm not in a very good mood while writing this, so it may be a bit harsh.

Basically, what the hell is wrong with all of you golds? Why the hell do you pay 5 bucks a month if you don't want to play games? I'm on my gold throughout the day, and each day i have to ask for 15 mins for a gold to get a game, and what do i get in return? silence... "Any Golds want a game?" that's what I say...I say it about 5 times over a few minutes, and when there are no responses, I start asking individual golds, and what happens then? more silence. You should at least have the damn common courtesy to say a simple "no" then just ignoring someone who asks you for a game... And don't give me that i was afk crap...cause you just logged on, so you're obviously there.

Also, what the hell is with all the shared accounts? You never know who the hell you're playing, and when you're playing a 1100 stat name, thinking you'll get 1 stat, and you find out you're up against a 1500+ player, you're pissed off, cause they don't have the guts to play on their own damn name.

Now, of course this isn't all golds, just 90% of them.

Don't log on if you don't want a game, or at least have the common courtesy to say no when i ask you for a game.

I don't play because I'm really busy, and rarely have the time to finish games...

I do get on the lobby, because I am a leader, and I must fulfill my clan's duties, even by just being there...

My clan looks up to me, and when they need help with something... Anything... It's me they turn to to help them.

That's why I hang around the lobby so much... Even then, I am not active enough and I still get disconnected...

I don't know why I'm explaining myself... Assuming you ARE zoma, you know first-hand I have proven my mettle in the past and present, as I do with most anyone... But there is a legitimate reason why I am often in the lobby, but not in a game.

P.S. Knowing me, if I'm not showing the "common courtesy" required to decline a game, I'm not even there in the first place.

Ive had the same problem around gl for a long long time now. You just learn to get used to it. When it gets really bad just play some grey games. Or you can get ur stats up high and everyone will want a piece of you ;)

i know exactly how you feel. i usually spend a loooonnnggg time asking golds to play and even trying to get golds to play me by insulting them (bad but it works) now i dont care if i play anyone of any stat i just want a game. geez i think im the 10%. btw if you are doing something else like foruming then log off the server.

I've won all four. ;)

But not recently... Our last game was a few weeks ago.

There scared, They know you will beat them, and if someone comes to this thread and say there not scared (besides LT because i understand that,) BULLCRAP, If your not scared get on GL right now and start raising your dam stats, or throw away $5 a month for nothing.

Shared accounts are not your enemy. For instance, I am always glad to play, but if you want it to be on GL, it has to be on the PraXis account, or on Rev. Other than that, I agree with you, getting a game takes forever. That's why I'm starting to just play clan games and grey these days.

I got 820 something stats, anyways he said he has to much stats too risk.
Let me list reasons I think this is stupid (he has 1400 some stats)
1.) If you have high stats, you should be a good enough player to defence your stats
2.) Just because someone has low stats doesnt mean there not good
3.) You dont deserve the stats you have if ur scared to face a player with low stats
4.) If there was no stats it wouldnt be about competition, calling people noobs because they have low stats and not accepting games cause people have low stats because its about fun!!
I think there should be no stats! A TAO tournament on every server once in a while and replace the ranking part of the site with a hall of fame for the players who won!!!
So people with high stats, dont be scared idiots scared you'll loose your poor little stats and play me!

Time to bump this thread because the same damn thing is happening again. 10+ golds on, and when ya ask ANY of them for a game, all you get is silence. But better than that. I was turned down by a gold who was less than 50 stats below me, because i was too good. What kinda bull is that. I've only been able to get 2 gold games today, and both were lost by luck (2 side dragon blocks in a row, etc.)

And don't give me that excuse , I don't have time to play, or other such shallow excuses.

Why don't any of you golds grow some balls and actually play a game or two?

I dont even play much anymore and when i do get on its during the day when im at work(which i shouldnt even be doing in the first place)I just sign on for 15-20 to chat with the clan and see how everything is then log off again. The game is getting more and more like that where no one wants to play. It seemed to happen when all the great players took a break and all the noob golds moved in...so eh what can you do

The irony here zoma, is that its like this on all servers. I have access to a gold on each server, and its impossible to get a good game. Though my chances are a lot higher than before, when I only had a gold on banff.

Unfortunately, on GL I have a shared account, SI Leader, but I'm always game if you'd like. (We played once but I had to go, but you really didn't need to give me the draw, it isn't even my account.)

For the rest of the nubs who won't play me, I'm gonna have to make one of those gold greys, so I can jump all of you. Hell..I'll do it with an ordinary grey too :p

Come on, I was only 100 stats higher than him. I don't think I've ever played the guy (I won't name him) and Hoolwath hasn't used PraXis in months because he has his own gold now.

Bah, I'm finding lately that most of the good games happen on Rev. You can't tell skill by stats at all, because many people don't play often, but those that do go there are at least looking for a game because there isn't anyone to chat with.

For instance, if I'm in the lobby while I'm at work and I expect it to be busy, I will refuse game challenges (or just sit there idle--anyone who has challenged me during these times will know what I mean, it means I'm already busy).

But outright refusing games because of a player's ability isn't right.

I'm afraid I can't exactly expel people for it, but I can do my best to enforce it otherwise. :)

P.S. PUNISHER, you gain stats from people at 1054 or more.

I like playing on legends because it is easy to get a game when nobody knows you. Also I'm only a single gold so its challenging. Great Lakes isn't very much fun for me anymore. I just get too frusterated with blocks because when I lose it takes me 10 victorys against 1400+ to get back to where I was. I don't mind losing to players who beat me without a great deal of luck but when its overwhelming the game just makes me sooo mad. I also found that I don't really care too much for the newer players. Might just be me but they just seem like assholes. Anyway GL has definately lost its luster for me.

God, everytime i got on, like tonight and a few times during the weekdays, all I am seeing, is him refusing matches.
He deny matches with "floor 10 and turtle only then later no" type of craps.
And he is in AL. I have seen this too many times.
Too scared to fight or just not a 1500+ type player? :cool:
