It's been a while since I've made a unit before so give me some criticism. This might seem to be one of my weakest constructive units but I'll try to make up for her lack of power. That's right. I said HER. The Blowpiper's a She. :P
All Modifacations of this unit are to be made in Red
Blowpiper
HP: 35
Power: 15 (NOT unblockable)
Armor: 15
Block: 60/30
Attack Range: Anywhere 5 Squares away from Blowpiper(LoS accounted for.)
Movement: 4
Recovery Turns: 2(1 on movement|1 on attack)
Focus: Poison(Deals 4 per turn like Wisp)
If the weapon hits, the Blowpiper will gain the focus of Poison due to the Poison-tiped darts she blows. If the weapon misses, her focus won't take effect. This gives an added challenge to some Turtle setups incase you want to remove a Scout for a Blowpiper. Even know she lacks the Range of a Scout, her ability to blow Poison-Tiped Darts makes her nearly as valueable.
Just be glad that I don't say Tranquilizing-Darts. ;) lol

Is the attack affected by los, and how strong is the poison?

To answer your questions, Yes and 4 like Wisp.
With the Blowpiper's 5 Range it makes her use of LoS challenging for those expert tacticians. However to back up her low health, she deals poison wich easily covers her 15 Damage. This makes the Blowpiper a tad stronger than the Scout but with shortened health, smaller range, and poison effect, I'd say she's sorta balanced don't you agree?
EDIT: But if her Armor seems to be a problem, please recommend what it should be to make her truely balanced.

I take it that no one likes my Blowpiper. -_- Guess that means she's a failed unit for me. You guys must hate it or me, either way you hate it.

you said constructive criticism only, that rules me out :)

 Are you trying to say that the Blowpiper isn't good?

I think I can safely say that's what Walrus thinks.
Edit: My opinion on the unit, I don't like tweaked scouts as as general rule. This is one of the better versions that I've seen but I don't think the game really needs that. The game needs another poison wisp or furgon or something, something that will add a lot to the game. At least that's how I see it.

I kinda hate the fact that others see it as a tweaked Scout. x.x If it was a Tweaked Scout, don't you think it'd range would still be 6 instead of 5? Come on, people. Recommend things that sound reasonable so it doesn't sound like a Tweaked Scout. :(

A range difference of one isn't so extreme as to keep it from being a tweaked scout. Don't get me wrong, I like this much more than many others I've seen, the Scout Leader included. I think the poison effect is kind of cool, though not entirely original. I just don't think the game needs a tweaked scout.

Yeah... Well it was the thought that counted, eh? I mean, even if she was attacked, she would have to refocus her attack since she'll have to block whatever attack hits her. You can say at the very least it's better than the Toxic Golem. =/

Yeah, I like it more than the Toxic Golem personally.
I'd say it's a good effort. Put some more creativity and originality into the next one. Good luck to you. :)

I like it personally.
My scout is one of my most versatile and strategic units, and I know the same is true for mith. Therefore it is my belief that this is exactly the unit needed, something that acts as a scout but is decidedly different, LOS is incredibly harder to use at a 5 range and therefore adds an increased level of skill, without overpowering anyone who can use it.
Question: Can the blowpiper block when in focus?
Concern: What stops people from barriering the blowpiper when it is in focus so the targetted unit degenerate to one health?

The scout is a great strategic unit, no question. But we already HAVE one! We most certainly don't need another that is this similar.
