So i'm watching the news this morning, and another bombing in isreal, and i'm thinking to myself, can human nature really be this stupid?

I mean afterall, is it eaiser to hate something then rather accept it for it's differences?

So later today i'm doing a quick drive up to the grocery store, and boom! Car accident, where the person behind drving a camry, hits a young Teen (the man in the camry had to be in his mid 30's) driving a Civic. So the guy gets out and starts yelling at the Teen who I also happen to know, blaming him for not watching himself in the back of his rear view mirrior and being and i kid you not, this is what he said "You're one of the most f*cked up drivers I have seen in my life, how ugly is you're mom to let you in the open world". Of course I can't stand it, get out and start giving the guy shit, naturally he then turns his anger onto me. So I say to him, "Buddy, you hit him, you'
re the adult, and you should know better then to blame someone else for you're own misdeeds".

Anyways after another 5 mins of bull shit from this guy, I finally go back to my car, take out a piece of paper, and write down his licence number. Now this causes the man to get even more angry, and then shoves me into the ground, now I get even more angry and punch him straight in the jaw. Now lets remember, I'm 6'6 240 pounds, he's maybe 5'11 175 pounds. Anyways, the point of that matter is, why did I become so aggressive? Was it really my choice to hit the man out of anger, but everything that I believe is wrong with the world, I contributed to that cause, and now i'm just as guilty.

Human Nature, it's not just a disease, it's a plague...anyways thanks for you're time :(.

Sounds like complete bullshit, but if it isn't congratulations. It's a boy!

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Moose again.

To be alive is to suffer. But, there is a path out of suffering. The teaching of which started the worlds 4th largest religion 2,500 years ago.

The teachings have helped me imensely. Not because I learned a new religion, but because I have tools that help identify and avoid the suffering in my life.

its sh** like that in the world that just makes me want to pull my hair out and gnash my teeth to dust. i think that you did the right thing by punching him. It is not bad to let anger out in a Just way. Kinda like Batman. Batman was a cool guy.
Anyway the point I am making is that if you didn't punch the guy, the crazed anger u were probably feeling when it happened, would have just been stored away and released at an inapproproate time. It was better to let it out standing up for what you believed in.

Punching some one out of fear of future repression is not logical. Punching somebody cuz you are angry is not a rational act. Punching some one becasue they deserved itcuz you were defending yourself from further harm is quite reasonable. Batman has nothing to do with it.

well seeing as how i have never punched a person in my entire life, i agree that it isn't logical to do so if you can control it. I can't imagine being so angry that I have to punch someone because, it has never happened to me. But because I have never experienced the urge (even in times of extreme anger) to punch a person, i can only imagine the pure raw emotion it takes to do so. I don't think it would have been healthy to try and bottle something like that up.

BATMAN HAS EVERYTHING TO DO WITH IT!!!!........*cough because he uses his anger for good.... geez don't you know anything.....

Too bad Batman was not there to help Moosey. Darn looks like he will have to rely upon himself. Perhaps the concept of Batman could help in a situation like that, but when you are stuck in the mud (or in a fight), concepts won't get you out. In a situation like Moose was in, when faced with the question what do you do next, Batman is not the ultimate answer, Moose is the ultimate answer.

Of course you did the right thing. That guy was an ass and needed to be taught a lesson.

[-Edit-] The old guy was the one that hit the kid. If I owned a civic and some old dude rear ended me. I would be the one pissed. The teenager should of been the one yelling.

It humors me how everything in the world can be traced back to someone's mom.

How stupid is your mom to let you out into the world?
You punched me, therefore your mom is stupid.
I don't like you, therefore your mom is a b****. . . that sort of shit.

Thats a great way to avoid personal responsibility.

However, stormtroopers can blame their mom, cuz parents send kids away to stormtrooper camp.

Actually, only half of us can blame our mom's. The other half are all clones.

Nope, not all clones. At first all the Clone Troopers were clones. Then a whole bunch died in the Clone Wars and due to rapid aging, and now the Imperial Army drafts stormtroopers from the Imperial Academy.

Welp, that topic died quickly :p .

This one will probably come back though... I know that in general people's morals in this country are degenerating into nothingness, literally, and as a byproduct, character, friendship, and honestly intelligence are slowly waning. When you're too worried about taking care of yourself to pull your head out of your butt and realize there are other people in the world, you sort of lose focus on reality. That reality being society and the existence of other (and equal) human beings.

[Off topic] When did you change to green NW? [/Off Topic]

Moose, that really sucks. I tend to get frustrated with people like that guy because they think their actions have no consequences and they can get away with anything. I feel like I have a responsibility to teach them a lesson involving some type of punishment or condemnation, but that opportunity rarely presents itself. Passive efforts only go so far, and usually allow the agressive of the world to walk over you. I cheered when you said you punched him, not because violence is the answer, but because it was the most immediate and promising way of ensuring he was taught a lesson.

On another note, I hope the kid gets the guy charged with the accident (or already has) and I hope you decide to press assault charges, because your action can be viewed as self-defense and he can be punished for his aggression. With a credible witness to the events, which I assume you and the kid can be to each other, both charges should work out and this guy will pay for his stupidity and arrogance.

Sounds like you're smoking something because obviously he wasn't in any true danger.

Moose, I removed you from my ignore list today, so that why I had not read this yet.

Truly you overreacted, what you did was not just, but I would've done the same. What you did, in my opinion, is the right thing to do. You tried to be reasonable, and that is all that matters. It ain't your fault.
