You know what made TA great? Everyone was EXCITED about something back then. It's so evident and obvious when you look at the archives. Hell, there were even updates nearly every freakin day by the administrators.

I don't know why I made this thread really... maybe just wanted to see a little of the golden days. ^^.

Upper 900 ratings weren't rankings-worthy, but it did still get a litle respect. ;)

I was kinda noobish back then, so you don't see my face in the rankings... In fact, I didn't even make much of a name for myself until this year... But those were good times.

When the unit difference wasn't big enough to set golds in a new league from greys, and when some golds were so skilled it didn't matter...

We are continuing to add new units, more features and improve TAO every month. We packed a huge list of units and features into our Gold Accounts to make them really worth the upgrade.

But they say they are always adding new stuff, and TAO wouldn't lie, would it?

well...i just looked it up...there are no rankings for early february, which is when I was in the top ten. The rankings that are up there now are from March 8. That was the last time you saw so many elite there. Resurgent quit for a while and I moved to BG, which is evident in the next ranking update.

I surely do miss the old forums though! and Shuichi!!! I wish he would come back to us!

Ahh those were the days, SG was no.1, every member pretty much contributed to TAO from SG (Yes it is true, a lot of SG members did come up with a lot of idea's for TAO :p). When Seed wasn't as busy, the first TAO bot that nearly led to a lawsuit :p, Kuban trying to hack Seed's account (btw, Kuban was the original original admin host for the legends forums)

Before the dreaded rush, before the luck system had been figured out and exploited, when the first FPS member (Hashpuppet) tried to conquer legends and after had been defeated, ran away :p.

Before Lord White created 5 clans to try and take down SG which all miserably failed. When all the n00bs were considered hero's.

When Moose was no.1 for 3 weeks on legends (i'm such a show off :p.)

When everyone admired King for his b-ward avatar for being the first TAO gold.


Hmm, I can't even begin to point out all the things I miss...oh wait, the day I missed the scout drop on legends and l-ward drop grrr.

Before assassins became dropable 10 months later, their were 3 assassin drops on legends before FPS opened, I got one :p. 2 scout drops, one on the first day and another on the 4th day. and 2 l-ward drops, 1 on the first day and 1 a week after that :p.

Hmm...I guess I'm the only person who kept a steady liking of the game from the very start. Those days were great...different rivals, different clans, different units...different strategies...but it changed just as it is changing now. Those days are great, these days are great. You just adapt and keep having fun.
