we plan to be there most of the time it starts at 10 am iand ends around 11 PM, lots of bands! www.ozzfest.com/bands

It wil be between a 2 and 3 hour car trip to there

So if any of you have been to a concert like this or anything u k now i should do, post here! Thanks

P.S. - Why do none of our smilies look high or drunk? It's a shame I can't express my feelings correctly through subtle smilie faces.

Rapping is actually harder than most people think it is, it's just that most rappers today are wanabes and suck at it.

Though I don't like rap, I respect it and wouldn't say it has no talent.

A two hour drive is nothing. Just bring $10 to buy a drink or something.

You could pack a lunch/breakfast/whatever and not have to go to McDonalds...

no good, someone said no coolers for the concert, breakfast on the way is no big deal

Jeffery

No coolers no backbacks, nothing carried in.

That way you spend the $4 on a bottle of water.

Why should you spend $4.00 on a bottle of water? Don't they have beer at those things? If I was you I would bring Tylenol.

That's how places like that make money, make your overpay for food and water.
It's the same with theme parks. And I could be wrong, but I dont think Lordofzrings can legally buy beer.

Maybe if you actually care about your hearing and you are pretty close, ear plugs.

I completely resent you implying that I listen to rap, my previous forum account was sub the hendrix. I also resent the implicatation that all rappers are talentless, bbut that's already been responded to.

Have a nice time :p.

Don't bring anything to the concerts. If you're up for buying swag, go back to your car and grab the cash. Buy what you want. Then put the valuables back in the car. Numerous people have had their wallets and other stuff stolen by idiots in the pits.

I'm going soon as well. Hope it lives up to last year. :coolpunk:

Crowdsurf.

Crowdsurfing at the Breaking Benjamin concert was one of the most fun things I've ever done. I'm planning to do again (Multiple times) at the Warped tour. And bring some money, you're probably gonna want to buy a shirt, or wristband, or something. Not to mention food and drinks.

What to bring:

Concert Ticket
Disposable Camera
Bottled Water
Some Cash
Earplugs (If you really care about your hearing)
Permanent Marker and something else like a Hat or Shirt for autograph(s) when you have the chance to get them.

Hmm, that's all I can think of.

By the way, bringing a condom with you when your dad is going with you can be pointless?

Alright, I'm going to the opening date tomorrow and here's what I'm bringing:

My little sister (Deal was I chaperone her at Ozzfest and my mom buys tickets and t-shirts  )

T-shirt money

Food money

And to reiterate:

Avoid the pits if you don't wanna mosh, since I know a lot of friends that have been hurt at Ozzfest. I've been to a lot of concerts with some big metal bands but I expect these pits to be a bit rougher given the average drunken 21+ metalhead.

Don't bring valuable stuff into Ozzfest.

Don't bring earplugs unless you're a little wench. Because seriously, you're paying all this money to go see a ton of live bands. Have some fun with it and damage your hearing.

thanks Daemon, nice to hear from an Ozzfest Vet. Anyway this may be a n00b Question but are there really 2 stages at ozzfest?

and what time does it start/finish?i( i heard like 10AM or 11AM to llike 11PM)

Im going to the Hartford one on Sunday!

<---has been to Ozzfest twice. 2001 and 2004.

Yes, their are 2 stages. Only the 2nd stage has a pit. Check out ozzfest.com for the bands for each stage.

Lordofzrings
07-14-2005, 05:47 PM
Im not soo retared as to not look at the website=p( i set it as my homepage hehe)
the stage question was because someone said the second stage bands comes on in between the first stage bands

hmm how far away are the stages?

We all wanna see iron maiden(main) but i also wanna see Killswitch, Trivium AS i lay dieng and other bands on the 2nd stage?

n00b question again Any place where i can see the times the bands are comming on, ive googled but no answers.

Daemon Bloodmaw

I actually haven't been to Ozzfest before, but I know friends who have and I've been to other huge concerts, like Locobazooka.

What I was told is that at Boston, the main stage plays in the actual arena (Tweeter Center), and the second stage plays in the back parking lot, which is by the lawn section.

I would like to find a set times list too, but for the show tomorrow the first ban comes on at 9AM. It sucks for me because I want to see Shadows Fall and Mudvayne, although I've already seen Mudvayne so I'm hanging out by the second stage.

Rob Zombie is one of the big artists on the To See Before I Die list, I grew up listening to Hellbelly Deluxe with my dad. ;)

Set Times (http://www.waaf.com/events/concerts.shtml)

That's for the Boston show but it should be pretty close to the other shows. Trivium and In Flames have 20 minute sets.. how lame is that?
