I'm a grey (Admittedly i've been playing for a LONG time. I had a lil break, came back. Not going into history).

I've heard about these Jokers Wild Punks... don't worry, they'll be beaten soon enough ;)

People have complained and moaned GOLD RUSHES ARE NEAR UNBEATABLE. I mean, its impossible to win against a rush with an Ambusher, Wisp, Scout, DSM, Pyro, Frostie, Dragon, Cleric and Muddie yeah? I mean ESPECIALLY with a Grey...

Sir Vivian, I begin with hesitant congratulations. Congrats on your win, a good game I am sure and you are deserving of the win. But to post a s/s, as Tag said, lacks class. (On a side note, maybe JW will stop posting there wins over other clans if this happens more oftan to them) Grays frequently beat gold rushes, because they are in fact the easiest form for a gray to beat, because they usually lack high hp and armor. This makes turtles much harder to beat as a gray.

To JW, sorry you have to have this happen to you, but Naruto, don't you dare try to defend your clan, more of your members have done this than I can count on one hand, and this trait is certainly not confined to a few select members of your clan.

Who are these people? Like KB said, grey turtles are great anti-rushes. Its the reason why most gold anti's are created from the player's grey turtle.

I'll say it again, if you have names of ppl who are grey jumping, pm me. I'd be happy to expel anyone I can verify it mis-behaving. I mean this sincerely. To date I have received exactly ZERO pms since my last request for names behaving in such a manner.

I have 3 from another source I received today regarding JW on Army, and I will be looking into those.


Sir Vivian congrats on your win. I'll be checking into this regarding PIMP. But I also need verification. Your word needs to be collaborated in some way. A screenshot of the opening. Him admiting he jumped you. Other witnesses. Something like that would be helpful if you have it. Otherwise, the best I can do is talk to him and monitor for other complaints that show a pattern. Jumping, cheating, or boosting is not condoned in JW. Just ask Dape.

That may be true, but the chanty/ bw is a classic grey turtle weapon, and you had that.

Of course you did use a center LW, which is unusual for a grey turtle.

KB was right, of course, when saying that grey forms are good anti-rushes. They can slow down a rush to a bit more managable pace with a BW, three knights, and LW.

rofl @ binkpimp - You don't know me :P. I can judge anything that I want because it's my opinion ^^ but as I didn't have a grey turtle it's saying something else eh? But from what I've heard, you are only the number one clan by 'points' - as in recruiting enough high ranked players to take you too the top. I used to be in Netjak and Bushido Gaiden; Whether they retain the same skill level as they once did I don't know but if so - Jokers Wild isn't at the top yet.

And yeah I know chanty + barrier ward are common but I've always used them; from my old skool rush (when golds never had furgon, mud quake, busher, wisp, etc.) to my developed formation. I suppose it's original starting placment is an anti-rush... for a whole turn o_O''

I actually recieved a PM from Naturo and I believe we have sorted things. In truth I had no intention of originally throwing down a screenshot of start, finish, etc. which means you can only go by my word (and my word is no more now trustful with my past lol!). In a way my screenshot through makes me look slightly bad XD hehe.

I'm going to have a talk withh our Army Aces and make sure their ppl all get a clear message about conduct. We can't assume ppl know what good conduct is. They have to be instructed and that's part of the leadership's job.

I think Pimp was sincere. I don't think this will be a problem with him again. But let me know if it is. I have to say the leadership on Army is to blame on this one, which means I'm to blame because I should make sure they are doing their job.

At least this will be a good example for me to use to show ppl why you have to talk with recruits. We posted conduct rules on the forum and on the website. But I think we need to explicitly inform each recruit and make sure they understand.

All I can say is I already recognize that recruiting operations are in need of fixing and previous to this thread we knew that and are taking steps. Please accept my apology, I need to take the blame on this, Pimp was ignorant, he is now informed.

Oh yeah, you definetly are #1 I am on army all the time, you guys back down from gold challenges, Wild Joker yesterday backed down from a Netjaker, pretended he was dead, didnt talk, then one of his friends came on and started talking up a storm, then got challenged again, didnt answer. Started talking to his friend again.
So yeah, if your gold in JW stop playing Grays and step up.

Now beating a gold rush isnt all that to brag about. I am sure if i all out rushed vs a great gold ...such as Megahizu. I am sure it will be very close..if not a loss by me. Beating turts however is another story especially opp sides. If the gold is new...you have a chance..but very hard to win vs a skiled gold opp sides turt. Please keep posting vs these golds cause im actually tryn to get a list together. later

Strangly enough, my formation does better against Gold Turtles :)

As long as blocks are equal I generally come out winning or a very close loss.

it's easy enough to beat most gold turtles... since they don't have a lot of attacking units, the chanty/BW combo can do quite well.

That, and three knights can plow through a pair of scouts like it's nobody's business, armor or not.

As long as you make sure to pace your attack, you should be fine.

What's tough to beat is a gold setup using a frosty, stoned chanty, and poison wisp... do you know how bloody hard it is to attack that thing? :)
