That was such an intense game! This guy (who shall remain nameless) was somewhere in the 1250's and I beat him! And I got to 1213! On Armageddon! Playing Tactics Arena Online! At my computer! All me! Pro skill! Pwn3d! I win! Oh yeah! Uh-huh! RAAARRRGGGLLLLEEEE!

He had two witches and he tried to get my lighting ward and I barrier warded the lightning ward and I was killing a bunch of his units and some of mine died! It boiled down to my scout, barrier ward, cleric, and knight vs. his knight, dmw, lighning ward, cleric, and assassin. I took out his cleric and assassin, saved my cleric, lost my barrier ward, and then killed his knight, and he surrendered with just a full hp dmw and a lighting ward! It was awesome! It was so intense! I was sitting on the edge of my chair!

I'm done. I guess that really isn't that high. Is it any good for a nine day old? TAO is pretty new to me.

I got an account up to 1000 in two days, but it's been tough getting from the 1000-range to 1200-ish. You all might be experienced and everything, but that was a big leap for me. Especially when strategy against gold accounts came in to play. I've fought maybe six and only won twice (they weren't that good either).

Maybe I will come back, in a bit. TAO has been really fun and challenging. In two or three weeks, you're mine, Kyir. :butcher: :bb:

I've got even less to boast about now, I'm just a little over 1150, after a few more battles. Some bad mistakes, some lucky hits and blocks, some disgruntlement, a low gold account with a strategy I couldn't handle, and a problem with my formation.

I'm still really enjoying the game, though, and regardless of all the pros being so much higher, I'm still going to reach for the skies. Though I'd have to be a Strategic Insomniac, or a regular-player insomniac to really shoot the moon.

Lol, I think I'm funny. And I absolutely loath coffee and excessive caffine. But one guy gave me some good advice on fighting golds, so I guess I could come to appreciate their existence.

Do you think that fighting too many newbies might throw me off when fighting experienced players?

Absolutely not! The key is to consider how you approach games with newbies... if you just go in guns ablazing and kill six units, losing two of yours at the same time, sure you're gonna lose your killer instinct (you'd be amazed how few games it takes to get lazy). If you try and flawless each and every one of them, then you'll be fine :cool:

Congrats! I've played TAO about 10 weeks now. Took me a month to be solidly (as in more than a couple of days at a time) in the 1400s. Took me about 9 weeks to reach 1724. Don't listen to the naysayers, it can happen to YOU too. :) Of course, I had some netjak.com leaders as mentors, else I'd still be stuck at 1550 or something hehe.
