I just had a great game with a gold on great lakes named Zombiewoof.

His Units: 1 knight, 1 dragon, 1 frost golem, 1 stone golem, 2 scouts, 1 cleric, 1 BW, 1 LW

My units: 1 knight 1 cleric, 1 dragon, 1 DMW, 2 scouts, 1 Frost golem, 1 stone golem.

Started out pretty bad for me, we both had defensive strats that were sort of new to us. We both started by armouring a few units for tanks, both of us getting our dragons and scouts. but he moved in with his two scouts for a VERY fast cleric kill, that put me under right away. I quickly picked off his scout that did in my cleric and not very long after got his second one. His dragon came up to get one of my scouts and I paralyzed in near to a clump of my units that were quite fortified. To counted he moved up his knight that had 55 armour to try to get to the frost golem. I ended up cutting of his path with scouts and my DMW which he nearly killed in a few shots. Then he moved up his frost golem to paralyze one of my scouts and I brought it down to low health with my DMW and scouts. This whole time his BW is protecting his cleric so i cant get a good shot. With his knight ripping through my vulerable units I moved a knight down low to try to flank his Cleric and BW and Stone golem, he barriers his frost golem so i cant kill it right away. After knocking off the armour of the golem I sacrifice my frost golem to get his knight (his second last offensive unit) His dragon now his last unit that can deal any damage runs around a bit being pursued by my Scouts and Dragon and my DMW and my last knight. Eventually after he killed off 1 of my scouts and My DMW my knight gets the killing blow. Knowing I can just run around his LW he graciously surenders and that was the end. Good game what do you guys think?

Well one, for zombiewoof, NEVER SURRENDER. EVER, anything can happen in battle...I've won a game or two in which all looked lost and a normal player would surrender, but I pull off the win.

For both of you guys: You are both WAY to focused on cleric killing. Calm down with it, clerics aren't the only important unit. I find it better to kill of ranged units and then proceed with paralyzing and hacking.... :D tis good.

I dont think you understand the surrender was just saving time, he had no offensive units left . . . Other than the LW and I wouldn be stupid enough to walk into it, and I had i think 3 ranged units left and A knight . . . Why waste the 5 min when it was inevitable?

yeah never surrender, it's never helped me, but i'm sure it will one day. Except one time when i wa going to lose, and the other guy got so pissed because he had to chase my knight around the field he surrendered.

also, I make the magical units my first priority followed by scouts. the cleric is usually one of the last things I kill because they usually have so much protection.

when i was a noob i killed the cleric as soon as possible but now i have no offensive multitargeters so i almost never kill it till the end

If I'm close enough with the witch, I kill it first turn, and hurt whatever stands in front of it.
That cleric can get really annoying, undoing all your hard work.

I kill Enchantresses and Dark Magic Witches first. Then Pyros. Usually during that time they have tried some sort of rush with their Scout and maybe a Knight, so they are down the Scout always, the Knight sometimes, then I rush and finish off his units. That is how a typical battle goes for me. Sometimes I get massively rushed or they go defensive and their Scout/s don't get taken down till end game, all sorts of crazy things, ya know?
