This is a new idea I had... see what people think.

I thought about creating a class of units that are "arrogant", that is, they insist on moving if they can (if they aren't recovering). Here is an example:

Arrogant Prince - Prince with small crown and fancy clothes carring a sword and shield, riding a horse.

Hit Points: 45
Power: 20
Armor: 15%
Blocking: 70% (front) 35% (side)
Movement: 5
Recovery: 2
Attack Pattern: N,S,E or W, or diagonal - one space (like Knight)

Sure he's a bit overpowered, but that's kind of the idea, since you must move him every time his recovery is up, even if it would be more beneficial to move another unit instead. I have some other "arrogant" unit ideas, but I'd be interested for some other people to post their's too!

what if someone had more than one arrogant unit in play?

The arrogance of the units is interesting... but eventually, players would ge pissed when their unit refuses to move at critical times. Maybe a 'charisma' type variable could be put in, making them listen better as you defeat or wound more of the enemy's troops, or become more snippy whne you are losing badly.

About having more than one in play at a time... I don't know. The one with the most hit points would have to more first? the one with the most powerful attack? It wouldn't matter, any of them could move first? I'm not sure what might work best. Also, it could be deadly for a player to have more than 1 or 2 on the field, because due to recovery they would only be able to move those units and no other ones....

And nice idea about the "Charisma" factor... that would be an interesting thing to try to incoroporate in the game too!
