I keep having to log back in over and over!

Anyways, greetings to all. I've taken some time to look through as many threads as possible since I've been away and...wow. That took a LOT of time.

So much to say, and reply to. I've noticed that Medemia bounced...a great man left. Leigh is back, and I did indeed notice her comments about some "unnetjak behavior" in the clan. Hmmm. Some folks got booted from the clan, with the typical controversy that surrounds that(people just can't leave netjak without drama, you know...). Sorry that one of them was you, Jonspen...but you left the clan way back in the day, and you know you and
I had talks about breaking the rules last year.

And so many things are going on around the forums...too much to keep track of in 1.5 hours. I find it interesting that the forums repeat themes and threads that were popular last year. I see a lot of complaining, and I wonder what would happen if some of these people who complained actually put effort into helping the community instead of ripping it.

I've just arrived yesterday at my final destination: Ithaca, New York. Also where I went to school, it contains the place of my dream job...though I have to admit that over the past few months I really didn't want this dream job anymore. Took me some time to think it through but I realized that I need to do what I'm meant to do, and only through that will I be happy. So, that's what I'm doing and I'm just starting now to truly build up my life and stability again in America.

As for netjak-tao, you bet I'll be trying to come back still. But of course, basic things like FINDING A PLACE TO LIVE and BUYING A COMPUTER kind of come first, you know? After I see the demands of my job, as well as making sure I have time to keep up with my writing career, I'll see if I'll have time for TAO. Honestly speaking, I don't know if I will but I can't help but try.

I'm happy to see that this thread is still alive...it must indeed challenge even the greatest threads on these forums in terms of popularity, longetivity, and consistency. *big smile*

If you reread my post, I never said we were picked on. I simply said that we aren't given any more slack than any others. Sorry we can all disagree on some things, and one of those points is that I thought you were just as out of line as Ducki. :eek:

I guess we are going on the assumption that this was all provoked. Hmmmm, had the other side been completely innocent in the situation I would say ok. However I am on record as saying that both sides were out of line. With that being said, the reaction toward Ducki compared with the complete coddling of you was a tad extreme? I think we all know that Ducki had a somewhat short fuse. I think we all know the setting in that point of time and that he wasn't completely unprovoked.

Thing is, there was a time when things were in transition around here and I was well aware of the fact that I could have been a moderator if I said I was available for it. But as I was moving to a different continent at the time, I didn't think that I would be able to perform the job as it was required. I still feel as if I made the right choice by making it clear over and over that I couldn't be a mod.

I will be moving into my new apartment on March 15th, hopefully. That will be huge. I'm online more often now. Before I get back into TAO, I'll make sure to get back into my netjak life as poster/writer/administrator there. Then if I still have time, I'll get back into TAO. Then if I STILL have time, perhaps I'll start sniffing around for mod openings here(hehe).

There was a time when I read every single post here and I do know that Duffman called netjakkers a "bunch of baboons" during the DR/Bills conflict. Certainly that isn't enough to prove that he has something against us but I always kept that in mind...and I honestly don't have any fondness towards Duffman whatsoever, in contrast to my feelings for Burning and DR. There's just something about Duff that I don't like.

What's perfectly clear is that what happened to Nomar was inconsistent. I was wrong about the Jeffery incident, but everyone can see with their own eyes that what happened to Nomar wasn't cool. Warcow can defend Duffman as much as he likes, but the fact of the matter is that things need to be rectified. I've ALWAYS tried to stay above complaining about TAO...but it's getting to me more and more.
