Good fun? GOOD FUN? There is no good fun here! SI are the bane of my existance. They deserve to be put into a cheese shredder and poured over a barrel of $54 crude oil while they sing "We Represent The Lollypop Guild." They should have to run around naked in San Francisco yelling how great their feet look while juggling old, crusty apples with worms hanging out of them. They should be tortured by having to listen to Celine Dion sing 'My Heart Will Go On' for 60 hours straight as they are forced to eat McDonalds hamburgers and Wendy's finger chili. ARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!! Just thinking about them makes my eyes boil and my nose run with pure, unadulterated good fun! Grrrrr!

Why is someone else on your account? Change the password NOW, and never share it again. Shared accounts are trouble in cases like that, and if a person using your account gets caught cheating, it is you deleted and kicked.

Why would he need your password to play you? (you mean play AS you?? bad idea)
Ok, do you pay for your account out of your own paypal, or does someone else pay for you?
If you pay yourself, do this:
1) Goto https://paypal.com
2) Log in
3) Click View All for past payments
4) Click on "Details" for the last payment to TAO Gaming Inc
5) look for the "Subscription ID" that starts with S-00000000 (copy paste entire number from S- to end)

1) Why would he need YOUR password to play against you. No offense, but that is THE STUPIDEST reason I have yet heard for someone getting a persons password.
2) Also in the land of stupidity is transacting banking and not paying attention to it. Paypal is internet banking, and is tied to credit cards and bank accounts. "forgetting" it is about is retarded as hell.
Quite frankly ther clanny, you deserve everything that happens to your account.

And my mom may know it i just haven't asked her, because in all actuality it isn't that important to me, i just wanted my fellow clan members to know that it isn't me who's been a dick recently.

2) been smart enough to know information about your account, like what paypal it is paid through

First of all, some good, clean, in-clan razzing is always in order.
Secondly, maybe the members of your clan are trying to get you to realize that even if it's your very best friend in the world, or even your girl or wife or whoever, giving them your account is foolish and they don't want to see you make the same mistake again. It's not anything to them to act foolish, play games they can't win or even accidentally do something stupid and get you banned not knowing any better.
Thirdly, who has the cheese platter?
343 HeadHunter
04-16-2005, 12:50 AM
well medemia that was about dumb. You pretty much just said don't trust your g/f, your wife, or your best friend with the password to this game. If anyone actually agrees with that they should probably stop playing and get a life.
Medemia
04-16-2005, 12:55 AM
Actually, I wouldn't give my wife the password to my account. Why would she want it anyways. She doesn't play. But no, I wouldn't give it to my friends either. I've steered enough people to this site to play where they can get their own account. No need playing on mine when they can create their own. I've seen too many 1 unit gold accounts out there that happened by giving a friend the password to know better.
If your account means anything to you, you probably should keep your password to yourself. That is unless you want to give me your credit card number, pin number, SSN and mother's maiden name. I can keep a secret :)

You obviously have less brains than the average toad. I help more people in this game and forums than you ever even talk to.
And no, I trust my PW to no one. There is no reason for them to ever need to use my account, as there should be no reason for your supposed friends to ever do it. Sure, you know him in real life. Congrats. I guess even your real life friends realise you are a punk, and treat you accordingly.

You called Jeffery a "douche" and medemia "dumb". Probably not the best move, especially when they're both right. Here's the point that your not seeming to get. Most problems that members have with account security come from sharing passwords. It's that simple and it can be avoided.
It just isn't a good idea.

Can I ask where I did? I thought I was pretty nice about it. Sarcasm has a place too... My post about betrayal was actually quite timely and definitely made the point not to share your password. But even after being informed that it was a bad idea, you had to keep on defending yourself as if it wasn't. That is when Jeffery, in his way, and I, in my way, reinterated that it was a bad idea. I don't recall ever calling you dumb or any other name... I'll reread the thread though and make sure. So I would kindly suggest not lumping people together who aren't together before they do so.

Whatever happened to netjak "looking after their own"?
Last time I checked, 343 was in netjak. Yet you guys are attacking him. Surely you should be trying to be understanding and supportive? When he first brought the topic up (of his own volition) he was apologising for what had happened and explaining why it happened, because he didn't want you guys to think he's an idiot. Then along comes Jeff, who immediately leaps onto him and calls him an idiot. The poor chap says that it isn't his fault, tells Jeff to mind his own business (in effect), and then the rest of the clan weigh in on Jeff's side.
No offense Jeff, I respect you very much, but you're just not cut out to be in a clan. Clan is about friendship, supporting fellow members, and above all going out of your way NOT to call them idiots, even if they have been. The best bet here would have been to say exactly what you said, BUT VIA PM. You are simply too aggressive to anyone who isn't as intelligent as you (at last count, 99% of the active forumers).

Clan is about friendship, netjak more than anything else cuz we're like family, but that doesn't mean we support each other unconditionally in inside matters... if a sibling makes a mistake, you help him fix it, but you also tease him about it and call him a douche for a couple weeks... remember, what doesn't kill ya makes you stronger. (though this matter has been a bit escalated... especially since it's over with already...)
now if an outsider comes in and tries to interfere with family business, then you KNOW he's gonna get flamed... now get lost bottle!
As for jeff, you, bots, of all people should know that he flames and argues with everyone... it's just part of his nature

We just got the Buzz Lightyear Astroblasters ride out here at Disneyland and if that isn't the funnest ride at the park now... I scored 111300 points on Monday and it was hecka-fun. Then there's California Adventure which really isn't worth the price of admission alone, but if you have a seaon pass, it's fun to walk around. Hollywood Tower of Terror is hecka fun. (Fun story: My mom and went on it on Monday. So there I am, sitting in the middle seat of three with my mom on one side and this complete stranger lady on the other side. Whenever the ride went up or down, both of my arms got grabbed... That was awkward :) ) I guess Disneyworld is about to get Soarin' over California which is pretty cool too -- I recommend it.
If you want to get on rides fast, have a child with special needs. You can go to the front of the park and get a "redirection pass" that allows the kid and up to 5 other people to stand in special lines which usually cut down on wait and hopefully are quieter. Most of the time, it's just speed pass lines, but speed pass cuts down lines by at least 20 minutes, if not half an hour :)

And now it's time for grammar lessons with Medemia, the part of the thread where Medemia comes out and explains a common error with grammar for the betterment of everyone.
beacause there aint anything else to to say then LOL
Now you may think that I am going to go off on the word "aint" as it is not only not a word, but even in the slang it does have an apostrophy. But this is not where the common grammar mistake is. It's not even the double "to."
I really want to talk today about the difference between then and than.
Easy definitions by Medemia:
THEN: A step in a sequence, First I went to the store, then I went home to eat my flan.
THAN: 1) A comparison between two objects, The fly is smaller than the frog. 2) Showing alternatives between two options, There is nothing else to say other than LOL
Now we see in definition 2 of than that the two alternative options here are to say nothing and to say LOL. If we look at the original sentence, it really has the meaning of saying nothing and then sequentially saying LOL after saying nothing, which really does not make much sense. So please, use the correct form of than/then. You can be a greater poster than the common joe; then people will give you the respect you desire.

So, I'm just wondering what Ain't is a contraction of. I'm pretty sure the n't is not, but what is the Ai? AI... ai.... Ah, AI=Artificial Intelligence. So Ain't is a contraction of not having artificial intelligence. Ain't I great?

This is from the Merriam-Webster Collegate Dictionary
One entry found for ain't.
Main Entry: ain't
Pronunciation: 'Ant
Etymology: contraction of are not
1 : am not : are not : is not
2 : have not : has not
3 : do not : does not : did not -- used in some varieties of Black English
usage Although widely disapproved as nonstandard and more common in the habitual speech of the less educated, ain't in senses 1 and 2 is flourishing in American English. It is used in both speech and writing to catch attention and to gain emphasis <the wackiness of movies, once so deliciously amusing, ain't funny anymore -- Richard Schickel> <I am telling you--there ain't going to be any blackmail -- R. M. Nixon>. It is used especially in journalistic prose as part of a consistently informal style <the creative process ain't easy -- Mike Royko>. This informal ain't is commonly distinguished from habitual ain't by its frequent occurrence in fixed constructions and phrases <well--class it ain't -- Cleveland Amory> <for money? say it ain't so, Jimmy! -- Andy Rooney> <you ain't seen nothing yet> <that ain't hay> <two out of three ain't bad> <if it ain't broke, don't fix it>. In fiction ain't is used for purposes of characterization; in familiar correspondence it tends to be the mark of a warm personal friendship. It is also used for metrical reasons in popular songs <Ain't She Sweet> <It Ain't Necessarily So>. Our evidence shows British use to be much the same as American.

Gold (single and double) accounts from Legends must be rated 1400 or higher.
Ahhh, perfect. I want in on Legends as VOID Shaolin (1430). Also, I'm curious, can I be admitted in on Banff with a low rating if I bring it up? It's somewhere around 900... 916 I believe, but I can hit 1000 with ease. Furthermore, if I'm admitted this month (before grey wipe) on Banff, may I be admitted at the beginning of the next month without achieving stat requirements? And lastly, if I've proven myself on one server (we'll say Legends since I legitimately have par stats for that server as gold), do I honorarily get admittance here?
At any rate, I'd be more than willing to play for admittance on Legends, and I'd also play again for admittance on Banff. Somebody please give me some contact info for Legends first, unless, of course, it'd be more convenient (if possible) to get me here. Thanks!

If you're in on legends, yes, you'll get invited on all other servers with no probs (unless a server leader has something personal against you)...
And no, you won't have to regain stats after the wipe... but I don't like how you said "as VOID shaolin" ... implying you have multiple accounts...
I have two accounts on Legends: a gold (VOID Shaolin), and a grey (VOID Feng Shui). I have no multiple gold accounts there, nor multiple grey for that matter, and Dove is, and shall remain, my only account on FPS. Banff is also the only FPS server that I play on.
Same person all around, just different name between Legends and FPS.

well, in that case, you should be talking to Omega or Lodo on legends. Since the requirements there are a bit more strict, there shouldn't be any reason you can't get an invite in Banff.

If you really want to know what happened to my eye, though I said it already in the Sisterhood thread my brother dropped a remote on my nose. On accident, yes, but goodness it HURT!!!

Now I want to know how in the world he got into a position to drop a remote control on your nose. I know I got in situations where I dropped the remote control on my sister, brother, friends, parents, small barn yard animals, some toys, my kids and my foot, but it just seems unusual to drop the remote on their nose. I'd like to hear the whole story :p

Gah... Fine, just so no one gets the wrong idea *eyes the crowd* I'll post it here too. We were in his room setting up to watch Alias. He has a bunk bed (without the bottom part) and I was sitting underneath. He had set the black remote on the black sleeping bag, and forgot about it. Then, at a commercial, when he got cold, he ripped the sleeping bag off the bed, unknowingly throwing the remote. Flying remote had a great target, took aim, and hit me in the nose across the bridge just by my eye. Poor boy though, he felt so bad! It wasn't his fault, but he could have been a little more careful!

Ok, fine. In light of the recent push for the "true story", I'll give the masses what they want.
Celtic_Guardian, my brother (henceforth known as CG) and I were going to watch the show Alias. To me, it was just another lazy Wednesday afternoon. Little did I know, CG was hatching his insidious plan to kill me, his sister, whom he secretly resented for my love of my netjak family. The first step, luring his naïve sister into his room with the preconceived idea of watching a show was complete.
Next, he furtively set up my seat directly under his bed, knowing it was the most comfortable spot and I would not refuse, nor think twice about it. Cautiously, he put the remote in its position, ready to fire when the time was right.
Knowing he would have to have a reason to pull the sleeping bag off, he had previously cracked the window in the room, making it unbearably cold. With all the steps complete, he pulled the blanket in a furious rush, hurtling the remote towards my eye, aiming to knock me out so he could finish the scheme.
Narrowly escaping, the heroine of the story managed to notice the remote just in time to turn her head enough so her nose could take the blow.
The evil Celtic_Guardian had lost the battle but not the war. Catra, being the sweet little girl she was, wrote the incident off as an accident and went about her day as if nothing had happened. CG eagerly awaits his next opportunity to do away with the netjak loving sister, Catra.
Disclaimer, this is just to entertain the masses, CG and I get along quite well actually. Just a little sibling rivalry bickering occasionally!

Alright, so I got word from Hexx (after speaking with CRX I believe) that I'm accepted over here... problem is I've never had any coinciding times when netjak leadership is online soooooo
I need to set up a time for the actual invite... if I have to wait until next month that'd be fine too. I'm in no hurry, but I do want in, so let me know.

AP tests all of this past week and just took SAT II's...
AP bio tomorrow and I'll be done... expect me on tomorrow afternoon.
I'll try to be online evenings every day this week.
If I'm invited once is it permanent even though I'm grey? I'm not entirely clear on that... do I have to get my stats up to 1,000 before I can be invited after this wipe, or can I join on the assumption that since I was good enough before I'll fulfill the quota again?
Just a question. Also, I think Omega got the impression that my accounts on Legends were shared... they're not. Hexx told me that Omega wouldn't let me in on Legends because someone else had the password, but they don't. Anyways, I guess we can work that out later, for now I'm concerned about Banff.
Again, thanks CRX for working this all out for me, guess it's just a matter of time before we can get together and make it happen.

If you get in on one server then you can get in on all. Once you are in you are in, after the wipes. Legends however is a little different mainly because there are no wipes. You cannot be allowed in if you have a shared account.

For the last time I do NOT have a shared account. I have two accounts, one is MY gold the other is MY grey. Nobody but me has the pass to either of those.
But anyways, I'll be waiting to get in on Banff, hopefully soon. Thanks for the clarification though.
