Alright, netjaks brothers and sisters. Are you all ready to start this party RIGHT?

My life is in order. Time to play again.

I had to quit back in August and I didn't know if I would come back...heck, I didn't know ANYTHING about the future back then. But things have turned out well...I've been "leading" the clan from the shadows since then, slowly but steadily getting more involved with the clan business...

...mad props to OMK for wearing the netjak crown as well as he did...

...now it's time to put that crown back on my ebony head and get PERSONAL like I used to. Three new names, three new golds, in all servers. My gold is still alive and over 1800 in Legends.

I promised that I would bring the storm again and I plan to do just that. I'm in a rush now, but I'll give more details here later...the leaders have already been grilled as to the "Plan"...but that's private of course.

I've been thinking about quitting TAO... but someone (not me) has volunteered to keep my account gold on GL out of kindness... so i guess I can't just leave like that :p But don't expect to see me on as much as before... and I am relinquishing leadership of netjak on GL to the good sir twelve. He'll do a better job than me... and I'll be able to play as a normal netjakker! :D

Hmmm....the game has indeed changed since I last was here. When I was last here, people were still trying to use basic turtles.

Now the turtle has evolved and there are many more spread formations.

Also, clerics are useless as people are currently aiming for them.

BUT...I'm working on a form that has been effective against everything I've faced so far...

I'm calling it "The Rectangle" at the moment. It's the very simple answer to the concept of a "spread" attack.

I made the case for the ambusher not being called an "untactical" unit by saying that even without it the cleric will die before it manages three heals.

It's true, it's simply too easy to kill the cleric with the massive firepower and long range, and this makes the game suffer, which is a pity. The cleric is one of the most tactical units in the game.

In fact, there is almost no point in having a cleric if you get same side, period. Opposite side it's more useful, but it's still very difficult to defend other than with a furgon. I'm seriously considering no longer including one. Its only use in my formation is dealing with mudquakes, which is the weakness of an anti-rush, ie. that it has to band together closely to protection, making it an easy quake target.

I think you will see little worry about it. Fact is, we've had people spying on us for over a year now. Seems stupid, it's not anything that we as a clan feel is appropriate to do to our rivals, but hey, if people feel the need to create accounts to see what goes on behind the scenes then there is really nothing we can do about it. I think it says a lot that we have instances like that going on.

Yeah... that's why I'm upgrading my grey to single. I'm not going to use any units that an ordinary grey could not attain (GA or Dragon) cause I still want to play grey games mostly and only play grey against the golds of my choice. Reason being: I recently won a mud golem for my grey and I realized it may be the last chance to ever permanently have a mud golem.

One day on banff he jumps my grey with his gold. Of course golds can be beaten by greys, I do it all the time. But great golds will not lose to a grey. So anyway he completely crushes me. At the end of the game I ask something to the extent of "so was that fun for you?" He says he just wanted a friendly game. I suppose it was fun enough for him. I don't know. At the end of the game he pretty much had said that in order for me to win I need to use gold units, I asked again why he didn't want me to use grey units in that case, and he said it was a fun game.

I on the other hand do care when something is being brought up about my actions when it is easily disputed whether or not I even did them....that would be the cause of my replies. I do care that I would say "use your gold units" then complain that you had an unfair advantage. If I told you to use them then I meant it. This sounded out of character to me. That's what happens when I have to lead this clan and can't be on the computer to do those quick decisions. She's been a big help over the last few months so I figured I would teach her TAO since she does have the mind for it.

So I'm sitting on Army, and as usual I keep getting random invites to clans. One gold asks me to join, and I respond with, "Nah, my clan is better"
After about 15 minutes, it dawns on him my clan is simply not being in a clan at all.......
He keeps bugging me, and I say I have been in clans, and chose to not be in one for a while. He asked which one, and I say the last was Netjak.
He responds with how he doesn;t like netjak, they are all prissy.
As said "THAT is why I don;t like clans. People base their opinion of an entire clan off their perception of a couple of people."

He says that no, the entire clan are prissies. I said, oh, you met ALL the members then. All 85+, right?
His response: "I hacked nazgul and talked to most of them."

So I said, ok, enough. I'm turning on my idjut filter, Goodbye.

So AC DC (the gold who I had this conversation with) proceeded to repeatedly ask me what that was. (I ignored him), then he gets on a Grey name, and begins asking me what the Idjut Filter is.

I guess he never did learn what it was either.....

Sheesh guys...I haven't lost a single game YET. Taking a break from the game for all of this time has allowed me to go back and look at the game in a fresh way. It's odd that there are so many strategies that I haven't even though of before which now seem obvious to me.

I'm still getting a kick out of how useless the cleric currently is, because everyone is aiming for it.

I'm also convinced that the wisp was/is a great addition to the game. Offensively, defensively...great all around unit. Powerful, yet only if used properly...a friend of all forms of strategy!
