To you guys it might be simply a difference of opinion, but you guys have disagreed before. There have been many differences of opinion. None of them have ever been enough for any of the "leadership ring" to actually leave. No, this is more than a difference of opinion. This is a fundamental difference of ideals.

However, once again I'm sorry for that last statement. It wasn't my place.

I think you already know this, but I'll say it anyway. I'm behind you 120%. You deserve a lot of props for being able to take the plunge, so to speak. I don't know how this game gets so serious for us all, but I imagine this was a lot harder for you to do than it should have been.

Being able to realistically look at where things stand is a mark of a great leader. I can't say how much I appreciate what you're trying to do here.

To those of you who left... I only hope you will take the time to consider from another perspective what's been going on in the clan.

None of the veteran members abuse the TOS. Some occasionally break a rule, or bend one, but I can't think of any old-timers who are blatant about it.
People who are blatant, or those who don't respond to warnings, do get banned. You know the system as well as anyone. There's nothing wrong it.

I understand, Bottle, and I make a practice of not swearing either. Well, very rarely at least. If I see a new member swearing ( or being vulgar, obscene, racial etc. ) in here, I always warn them in a PM. If that members continues the same behavior, then a ban usually follows.
If a veteran member does the same thing, the reaction isn't always the same. I know you know this, but apparently you're going to make me post it. I think it's a waste of time, but okay.
Do veteran members get cut slack where a new member wouldn't? I think we all know the answer to that. The point is that vets know when they're breaking the rules. Most know not to go too far, and they don't. If someone does, they always get dealt with.
Like I said, the system works fine. The TAO forums aren't some haven of profanity and smut. It's not like there isn't anybody watching. This place is very PG-13, in my opinion.
I've actually never heard anyone complain about there being too much innapproriate content on these forums. I think the community does a good job ( for the most part ) of keeping it clean. I also think the mods have always done a good job of watching out for what doesn't belong.
