As much as I like you, roody, I completely disagree with this statement.
I'll try to navigate through this post without getting too specific. I hate this Cloak and Dagger crap.
Twelve made a mistake, but I think it's wrong to imply any malicious intent in that mistake. He made a decision without involving the leader group, mostly because that decision wouldn't have been very popular with the leader group. That's not the way we do things, not the system that Twelve himself established.
Definitely an error in judgement.
But you admit that the thing that solidified your leaving is not what Twelve did, but how he reacted when confronted. You wanted him to apologize and accept responsibility, not make excuses for his actions.
But I don't think they were excuses. I think Twelve did what he did for the exact reasons he gave. He shouldn't have left the rest of us in the dark, I want to clearify that, but I understand why he chose to.
Twelve doesn't have any "agenda" other than the one he's always been open about. He's always wanted netjak to be the best. Everyone in this clan wanted that. He put more effort and attention into netjak than anyone has ever put into ANY TAO clan.
I also happen to think he's a genuinely good person. Nobody's perfect, and nobody makes the right decision 100% of the time. But Twelve comes pretty damn close when it comes to his dealings with netjak. That's why I think he deserves some slack with this.
I understand the reason why you and the other guys left. Hell, I've talked with you about it personally. I also understand what incited you to tear into Twelve in this thread.

Yeah, I did, but that doesn't mean I've never played defense or don't like it. I made the original mage bomb because EVERYBODY was using a turtle back then...it was boring. Just as it became boring recently as EVERYONE was using freestyle...

I'm all about balance. When I had my "12 Formations of Doom", the game was a bit more balanced then...when the wisp and GA came out, 10 of those 12 suddenly became useless. There were at LEAST three turtles in those doom formations.

NOW, however, with the new furgon tactics and new units, perhaps I can start using a variety of formations again.

Yeah...the blocking system was made a bit abstract compared to the solid rules it had originally...both had their weakness. In the original, a knight could hypothetically block forever...and sometimes it seemed as if it did with my opponents. :mad: The new system stops that from happening, but I just don't like how my opponent has somewhat of a say as to how my units block.

It's weird - the Play Online page mentions the rare drops, yet this news doesn't seem to be on the front page - you'd think this would be something worthy of announcing.

However, this is probably a smart business decision - a grey who wins a rare unit or 2 will be much more likely to want to keep them, and will therefore upgrade - and since it's not a one-upgrade-for-life deal, the company can make that much more cash each month.

And if someone wins a frost, then upgrades, instant double frosts.

I'm not sure how I feel about this, but I conclude that it doesn't matter to me, since I never play on any server but rev anymore.

I just got my forsty drop. :) I aint that eager to upgrade my grey account though, I even wanted to give the frosty to my opponent. I definitely think this is a very good business decision, though. And adds a lot more fun to the game. Finally some people will get to beat me. :tongue2:

Man, having these Legends-style changes in FPS is, for me, like the best of both worlds! I've always wanted this to happen...now if we can just get rid of that pesky extra scout. :)

I don't see the problem if gold units drop as long as they are rare(about one rare unit every week). Sure this will probably piss some people off, but its not like you will be seeing any grey accounts like RKO21 here. Multiple frost golems are fun to play with(although this is with one scout in mind), and I like playing with my mud rush even if it doesn't work too well(good thing interclan battles don't effect rating ;) ). Bills is just trying to give greys a little taste of what a gold account has to offer so they will upgrade and not lose their rare drop. If you really don't want to play multiple frosts or whatever, as other people said, you can always ask for a game with unit restrictions.

KWOzmaj was my very first clan :) Then of course, I joined VIS when KWOzmaj broke up. Prophet was the reason I was in both of those clans :bigsmile: I remember the good ol days, when you were thrilled that your score was 20 - 0 - 0. Back when if you knew LOS you were considered a God by many. Back when this game was fun to play, no matter what the cicumstances. Back when golds couldn't stand up to the power of my 4 witches and 2 clerics. When I could get noobs to surrender just by looking at my form and giving up. I loved those days :bigsmile:
