I went to the football card store. I haven't been in forever and I sold all my old cards, but I wanted a Reggie Bush rookie badly. Anyways, the store owner was stupid enough to not have any singles for sale (I would have paid top dollar), or any unopened boxes. Anyways, I found out he had 3 football card boxes of mine I bought years ago and left there. I was amazed that he remembered, kept, and gave them back to me. Anyways, I opened them up now I have four Brett Farve rookie cards (and a Junior Seau [one of my favorite linebackers]). He happens to be my all time favorite quaterback after Joe Montana!

I was very excited!

(They are worth about $8 each, but I don't think I will sell them unless I get yelled at for "useless paper cards in useless plastic covers" taking up too much of my time. :P)

Pfff. Look...the name of "Netjak" was around long before TAO, and will be around long after. Right now, ALL of TAO is less active, if you've not noticed. I mean, forget this thread...I've never seen all of General Discussion so slow. I blame it on 1. academics and 2. this game. This game is great, but it's not as deep as chess and it will eventually lose it's integrity.

You make it feel liek the clan was dieing, but you my friend, are clueless. As Twelve said, many other people besides netjakker's are going away for a while because of school. Not many of us are 13 and under you know. High school is tough, it's not elemenary school. (just guessing you're in middle school) but yea, i left for a while because school is getting tougher then it was last year. and some issues at home.

1. Having varying formations while still keeping the game balanced is one reason why the game can't be that deep.

2. Creating a unit or two every year is great for those that have been here since the beginning, but it would make too steep of a learning curve for newcomers, therefore turning them away. So, in effect, the more new units that arrive, the less new players come. What's more important, new units or new players?

There were 12 golds including myself in the lobby and no one would accept my any-rules any-style and I will draw if you have considerably higher stats than me offer. Then finally after about 10 minutes a gold tried to make a joke of my challenge and said he accepts as long as I use 8 units to his 10, as I had promised any rules I accepted. I won with two remaining. Netjak win.

I do salute that player for actually playing though, unlike those other 10 golds. I am still working towards 1300, but it is difficult when few will play.

I joined netjak.com as a 1100 stat gold, under the promise that I reach 1300 as soon as possible and that I was a rare ocassion. Today I was on and I was one of three netjak.com golds online. -Hawk- and Evanna where the others. My issue is that all three of us are gold and under 1300 stats.
-Hawk- has 1192, Westren has 1295, and Evanna has 969. Is there a way we could have an entrance program instead of doubling back on the requirements and making multiple exceptions?

The only reason GL isn't as active right now is because of the school year. Every clan has the same problem, the bigger clans get killed by it since most of the members range from the age of 13-21.

I am a netjak.com Great Lakes member and I am also a supporting Gold account member. My issue arrises with the welcome message stating:
"New stat requirements, 1100 for greys 1300 for golds. Netjak Strong!"

I joined netjak.com as a 1100 stat gold, under the promise that I reach 1300 as soon as possible and that I was a rare ocassion. Today I was on and I was one of three netjak.com golds online. -Hawk- and Evanna where the others. My issue is that all three of us are gold and under 1300 stats.
-Hawk- has 1192, Westren has 1295, and Evanna has 969. Is there a way we could have an entrance program instead of doubling back on the requirements and making multiple exceptions?

Oh yeah, if I didn't already mention it, I think rank sitters are the worst type of cowards there are. I myself try to play at least a game a week, or if I'm not going to play, I don't log onto my account, and let it not get ranked.

No, talk to the administration and make it so that every player must have 1 rated game per week to stay ranked. THAT would take care of whatever problems you see. As it is, people have the right to keep the rank that they've earned.

No, that was 100% serious. That is why people like Kreator got into Netjak to begin with. Everyone has potential, and Netjak oftens takes in members that are considered N00bs in hope to get them to grow beyond that.

And in many cases this has lead to long time players who become very skilled.

In Kreators case he was unable to get past his noobliness. And left in one of his hissy fits.

Since then he spends his time trolling the Netjak threads seeing how often he can trash talk Netjak as a whole. We're used to it, and generally just let him it there having his tantrum.

I ran out of gas in a left turn lane the other day. The cars behind me were not pleased. I was on my way to the gas station too :( lol.

Eventually one of the people helped me push the car from the left turn lane to a little culdesac to the right. >_>

then i had to walk to the gas station and buy one of those little gas cans. :(
