Easy game, seen it work great on other forums, so why not try it here? I post a screenshot of a retrogame, first one to correctly name the game and the gaming-system it's from gets to post the next screenshot to be guessed.

- Let's stick to games from these systems: NES
SNES / Super Famicom
Gameboy Classic (yellow & black) and Gameboy Color (so NOT GBA :p )
Sega Game Gear
Sega Master System
Sega Megadrive / Genesis
Atari
Amiga
Commodore 64
- Try using games that aren't too unknown. So no stuff that only got released in Japan please... >_<
- Remember to rename your screenshot before posting it into something that doesn't give away the title of the game!
- Only someone who correctly guessed the previous screenshot can post a new one!

If you want to find a good screenshot of your game of choice, here's a great place to start:
VG Museum (http://www.vgmuseum.com) - Gamepics can be found on the left, in the blue-coloured section.

And if it's not there, there's always Google (www.google.com).

Here's one! I liked this game a lot, not because of the gameplay, but because of the puzzles and the plot. A small hint: one of the few rpgs on the early systems that has a sad ending.

Edit IRT swift - yeah, the plot on FF1 needed work. But I got a big kick out of Poo, Ass, Blat, and Icky saving the world. And then the ending..."uh, you prevented this from ever happening, therefore you didn't exist, but your legend will live." :huh:

Lufia is close enough, I suppose. The game is actually Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals. Oddly enough, it's the prequel to Lufia 1, hence the unhappy ending. If you folks haven't played it, you really should. The battles are pretty bad, but the story is good, the dialogue is funny, and the puzzles...are absolutely maddening. Give it a look!

Warcow, I believe you're up for the next game.

It's a saturn game I believe, and I know precious little about saturn. I think he might have us all stumped on this one.

Nope. That is a genesis game. I picked the most common image from the game that I remember, although there are others I could post.

I couldn't find any screenshots of the saturn game. :p

Although the game I posted was a genesis game I believe there were previous games either on SNES or NES, probably all three systems.

I downloaded a SNES emulator on my last computer and played a bunch of old school RPG's. I suck at them, like hardcore suck. The ones I remember getting are: Chrono Trigger-Dragon Quest I, II, and III-Mario PRG-One of the Final Fantasys.

Too hard for me. I preferred Super Mario, that boy who delivered news papers (:p), and other level-based games like mario.

I used to have a pretty good rom selection on my old computer but it crashed. I had this awesome import of a really old squaresoft RPG. Something to do with a war and dragon knights and a really complex pet system, but it was awesome. :)

Too bad I don't remember much else, the name was pretty weird too. I found my Genesis and the above game, I think, but not the controllers. :(

This game kicked vast amounts of ass back in the day.

I mean, a mutant frog gets into some radioactive detergent just sitting in the back yard, tunnles into the earth, where you happen to find space age equipment, and go on a shooting spree in an underground universe.

Well, it's Abadox for NES. It is a spaceship shooter game where you journey through alien worlds fighting all kinds of stuff. Awesomely simple game, but tough to beat. A quick google search of images will show you the game and more screenies.
