Ok yes gryph is back :)
anyways , If anyone plays gamecube online then you are well aware of the modem and broadband , I was wondering if someone could help on a couple of questions on both of them such as :
does it depend on internet connection?
is there a difference between the two?
stuff like that
If anyone could help it would be pretty cool.If not , I guess I'll try somewhere else. thanks

Hmm, for most online games. I recommend a download speed of over 1000 kbps and an upload of over 150 kbps. Most DSL, cable, and some wireless.
Are you planning of running through a router, and if so which kind?

get a x box 360, it's kindda screwed up that only a few games are backwards compatible but the graphics are well worth it...or if you want slightly less advanced graphics and better games get a PS3...

Im running a westell modem for DSL , I got all the hook-ups so Im online right now , but it would help if someone actually played the game in here (phantasy star online) considering that is the only game online for it at the current time. But alas , I cant really complain , thanks for at least replying lol

If you are looking into playin MMORPG's online, I'd suggest Guild Wars or WoW. Phantasy star just lacks in comparison.
WoW will run you about 10 bucks a month, plus the original cost of what I think now is 40.
Guild Wars is 40 bucks also just free online play.
Both great games, WoW gives you a larger selection. But for the 10 bucks a month for World of Warcraft, Id suggest Guild Wars.

For some reason WoW never took a liking to me , guild wars however I never played sometime In the future I ought to try it out.
