Monthly fee vs one time

I've known about TAO for awhile and was considering upgrading my account to gold. Then I found I have to pay monthly. I did a little search and found this http://www.digisonline.com/tactics/gold/ or more specifically the little paragraph that says I can get a gold account for a one time fee of $10. Now this I can do, so can anybody tell me the difference between the sites and wich payment is current/mandatory. Thanks

Well im not possitive but...i think that is for the ledgens server to get a "double gold" account...which is i think the same as a gold account here. I'm pretty sure that a one-time fee of only $10.00 would not cut it for TAO, if that were the case pm me and ill cancle and renew with the $10.00 fee lol. Welll i hope the info was useful, maybe someone else knows a lil more about it than i do, i hope you get the info your looking for.

Digisonline is the Legends server. They are the ones that have the one time payment thing. They are a different setup and not affiliated with TAO or this site. To find out more about their site and benefits, you'll ahve to read up on their info.

TAO charges a $5 a month fee to maintain a gold account. For that fee you get everything listed **here** (http://www.tacticsarena.com/gold/features.html)

The two sites are two different setups, have different benefits for what a gold account has, and have no relation aside from the game itself between them (meaning if you buy a gold account there, you won't have it gold on the TAO servers, and vice versa). As a side note, I'll warn you in advance that you get what you pay for. Legends is cheaper, but there are some serious drawbacks to their setup.

Hotsauc, Legends is one server, not devided up into three, so there is always people to play there... Which is one of the problems here right now. Also you can only use one scout there, this can go either way, I think thats better. Makes the turtle games more fun, and rushes not QUITE as easy. FPS has better quality though and support. Both servers seem to think that people from the other are jerks. But its just that all the noobs and morons are togethor over there, Its easier too look at the bad, then to see all the good people that are there too. So... i play on both servers, but the choice is yours.

well its really simple. we get 2 scout they have one. we pay 5 a month they pay 20 to get all the unit but the 1 extra scout that we have. we have a great support system....they dont. we are cooler and can beat them at anytime :)>

Whats wrong with the support system? Does the server crash alot? Bugs? If the scout's the only consequence I'll pay once and finally get my hands on some gold units. :bigsmile:

Due to the lack of income that comes into the Legend's server, and a less involved administrator, there is almost no technical support for their setup.
Since there are no wipes, there is a lot of lag on their server, and it crashes pretty often.

Basically, like I said in my first post, you get what you pay for. You pay more here, but you'll get actual working tech support, working servers, and less crowding. If you don't think that'll bother you, then by all means go there.

i have a gold on Legends and some times it takes 5-10 just to log in after ya pressed enter on ya account name and p/w.
wich is stupid
i prefer it here as nothings the same here like differnt things going on every time i log in lol

Actually accounts unactive for a little are wiped on legends. I just found that out when trying to log onto my grey there.

deleting inactive accounts isn't as effective as a wipe though, thats the point ;)
