The units are currently very evenly matched and I do believe like a lot of posters that it is strategy. I do think it would be interesting to see these same units with different races/abilities.

I know YAZZ mentioned two races classes before, but I think it would be an interesting challenge to have five or six races to choose between and each would have their own different "racial abilities/classes" This is where you could incorporate some of the units mentions like:

Dwarfs could have higher hit points, more protection, and less mobilty. And instead of a lighting ward replace with a balista or catapult. (Elite knight or Guardian, Berserker to replace assasin, ShieldMage, )

Elfs Could have lower hit points, about the less protection, more mobility, and quicker turning. A tower with an archer and small tree to replace the wards (Elite assassin, Elven Commander, Female Healer)

Orcs could be simliar to the dwarfs but have more power. (Elite knight, Lancer instead of archer, Summoner instead witch)

Each race could have it's unique design and could be placed on any team. You woudn't have to be all elves, or all humans etc.

Thoughts?

Sounds like a good idea

However...you have to make sure they are evenly matched in terms of strengths and weaknesses...EXACTLY evenly matched in matter of fact...for most people would prefer to play with a team that has the best advantage. However, on the other hand, this applies a whole new set of tactics and i vote for the idea! :D
