View Full Version : Exploits?

In a recent battle of mine on great lakes I experienced a very strange phenomenon. I had my opponent on the ropes and was set up to take his/her assassin, pyromancer, and dark witch. Then my opponent began typing very peculiar things like /boom /exploit and /kabum after moving their assissin next to two of my units. Eventually their assassin blew up and killed my two units, one at full health ( a knight from the front and my lightning ward). I was very dissappointed to see that people in a game of tactics are using exploits to win. I don't care about my rating nor if I win but i was dissappointed nonetheless. Has anyone else experienced such exploits and does anyone know a way to combat this exploit. Thanks for any help that anyone can offer.

When the assassin drops below 5 hp, it can kamikaze and kill units in it's attack range. So the other stuff ur oppenent was doing was just being a retard or something. But the assassin blowing up is a perfectly legal move.

there are no "exploits" in this game... But there are two secret attacks.

1) mud golem can do a mudquake instead of attack.

2) assassin can blow up and deal 99 unblockable damage to everything next to it... but only when she has 5 or less HP, and only 1 assassin is on the field.

The stuff he typed... yeah, what moose said... he was just being nub.

Don't listen to those two, they're trying to take advantage of you. crx pegged me with the same exploit yesterday

I didn't know I was using exploits at least twice every gold game.

Here's how to use the Assassin Bomb.

When your Assassin is in Attack phase, click and hold on the space the Assassin occupies for two seconds, and the highlight under her space will fade away. When the tile under her is faded to its normal grey, release the mouse and the Assassin will explode.

Notes:
-This attack does 99 unblockable damage to all units in the Assassin's normal range of play. This damage is not armor-deductible and thus the attack kills every unit in the Assassin's attack pattern.
-This attack can only be done when your Assassin has < 5HP (4 or less, 5 will not work).
-This attack will only work when you have only one Assassin on the field.
-This attack removes the Assassin from play; incidentally, you may only use the Assassin Bomb once per game.

Since we're on the same page, here's how to do the Mud Quake.

When your Mud Golem is in Attack phase, click and hold on the space the Mud Golem occupies for two seconds, and the highlight under its space will fade away. When the tile under it is faded to its normal grey, release the mouse and the Mud Golem will pound the ground, doing a small amount of damage over a wide span around the Mud Golem.

Notes:
-The attack does three different damage numbers based on the range away from the Mud Golem (see diagram below):

Mud Quake attack pattern:
3 M = Mud Golem; no damage is done to this space.
3 2 3 1 = One space away from the Mud Golem; 15 damage is done to these spaces.
3 2 1 2 3 2 = Two spaces away from the Mud Golem; 10 damage is done to these spaces.
3 2 1 M 1 2 3 3 = Three spaces away from the Mud Golem. 5 damage is done to these spaces.
3 2 1 2 3
3 2 3
3

-Damage done by the Mud Quake is armor-deductible; a Mud Quake on a Knight from one space away will do 11 damage instead of 15; a Mud Quake on an armored Scout from two spaces away will do 6 damage instead of 10.
-The Mud Quake breaks the Focus of any Focus units within the 3 space range.
-Mud Quake can only be used if only one Mud Golem is in your team (only applies to the Legends and Revelations servers). However, unlike the Assassin Bomb, the Mud Quake requires no other prequisitries and can be used so long as the Mud Golem isn't destroyed.

As for your opponent, he simply did that to throw you off-track; it's quite obvious that he knew full well how the Assassin Bomb was done, and took advantage of the fact that you didn't by confusing you with these commands.

There are actual ways to cheat your opponent out of a victory (Assassin Bomb and Mud Quake are legitimate techniques), such as tricking him to swear or telling him to do something that will refresh or close the window.

Hope this helps Stapled,

also, as a side note, the so-called "secret" attacks are actually posted on the www.digisonline.com/tactics website now under the unit stats pages. admins here might want to take the hint and update the unit details pages.

Sounds like someone got suckered to to an attack position and felt pretty miffed that they got blasted. That's the only reason I can think of for this thread.
