Hi
I was just in the lobby on Banff and i was trying to actually talk to ppl, but there was to much arguing going on between the ppl that want to cyber and the ppl that think that TOA is the wrong place. The whole thing was very anoying to alot of ppl because both sides both were convinced they were right and thout that they could convince ppl.
I think in order to fix problems in the lobby like that (,and spaming) there should be:
posted rules aganst it.(In cluding gold spamers)
(as much as i h8 to say it) blocking of more words. (ie. cyber)
moderaters that can squelch and or worn ppl about.
and finally any thing else u se fit.
this would make TOA a much better place for gaming.

Mods have in game accounts, but are powerless to do anything. When they are on, idiots tend to spam MORE not less.
DivineRight knew how to kick players, but that has to do with server side disconnects, and not in game commands. A mod will never be given server side access.

Honestly, I don't think TOA needs in game moderators... maybe TAO, but I've never heard of TOA before :p

On a more serious note, what we really need is for people to realize there is a chat filter. I rarely see golds cyber in the lobby. (and if you're grey, you're SOL)

As for spamming golds, take a screenie and sit back and wait

I'd be willing to be a InGame Moderator, I think if they gave certain individuals' the right to Squelch other ppl it would help alot for the

That would require some kind of advanced system, changes to the programming, some kind of screening process and a way to make sure that they're doing it right. I don't think that it would happen without increasing the fee, they're going for the "inexpensive" kind of deal anyways, and, like OS said, there's already a way for golds to deal with it.

I like the idea as much as you do, though.

Necro-noob!

Only RECOGNISED members of the community would become "lobby moderators", even if the idea was to be implemented (which it won't).

Dunno about you, but my kids are probably your age...and I'm sure it wouldn't matter if a person was recognized as long as they were trustworthy and FAIR in their dealings with any authority they may be given.

With your automatic "Noob" trash talk I assume you wouldn't get the job.

and just FYI...I might be NEWb, but I'm no NOOB...and if This US Marine were face to face I'm sure you wouldn't be so disrespectful....

Not that I need to reply to YOU because YOUR not in charge...so like your momma told you... If you don't have anything nice to say...STFU

1) How would they know your trustworthyness unless you were an established and recognized member of the community.
2) Necroing a useless topic DOES make you n00b.
3) You obviously have no idea who in the community you are talking to in this thread, as the majority here is far older than the average age
4) You prove your n00bness by threatening people with your jarhead abilities to flip out and snipe at people from far away.
5) 50 South Court Street, Athens Ohio. If you want to make threats, bring it on.

1. It's called References...you know like business references...

2. I don't consider it necroing a topic that has a valid point when we have 5000000000000 kids ruining enjoyment of other players...

3. Your right I don't know who I'm talking to, but I will not stand by and be insulted w/o throwing some tar back at ya...

4. I Never Once Threatened anyone...

5. Refer to #4

well, you are replying to him, so obviously you're giving some sort of credence to him. If you didn't give a damn one way or another, you'd just ignore it.

*salutes* A Marine as well? Well, I just finished basic camp this last summer and am in the officer program. From my experience, I don't see why anyone at all should be bothered by you calling yourself a Marine. Yes, you DID make a threat, and to be perfectly frank its a completely empty one. Besides which, I think you're full of crap on it, as I've yet to see any person currently in the military make such childish arguments and try to pass them off as experienced.

So shut it already.

The way you draw in random aspects of your life and seem to present them as some sort of credential to credibility just makes you sound like your full of it.

Nothing scarier than a Ex-marine, playing a turn based strategy game, whereas most teenagers, then decides to threaten..real cool.

Please, I do wanna hear this.

Anyway you make a very valid point, abetter way about this without having in game mods is a mute function for individual users.
