Unit Name - Missionary
Description - A dude in white robes with a pyromancer staff.
Power - 0
Armor - 0
Type - Human Spellcaster
Movement Range - It can move three squares in any direction.
Recovery - 4 Turns
Blocking - 20% from Front, 10% from sides
Special Abbility - The Missionary can "convert" enemies onto your side. He has a range of 6 squares, and can only convert Human units. They will stay with you for the battle. The abbility acts like a Focus, if the focus is broken, the unit returns to its owner but keeps its position.
Any comments and suggestions are wanted!

Very nice :D But you should lower on how long you get one of your opponents unit to maybe 3-4 turns or so...
EDIT:2-3 Turns

No 2-3 turns is still too much.
You've neglected to mention hitpoints, and if the name hasn't already been done, then the ability surely has. No one likes the idea of having a unit change sides, even if it is a focus ability, the unit causing the change of sides is permenantly destroyed, or if there is a limit to the number of turns the unit can be controlled. With all three of those restrictions people would still likely hesitate over accepting it. It's overpowered.
Take your unit for example. Once enough ranged units are dead, the other player can no longer trust his units for a defensive formation, since they would kill their own team members. When fighting a gold account, you could also get two dragons. You could also use this unit to facilitate the death of ranged units, using their units to kill their own team. You could get a powerful enemy unit to kill the cleric easy (though it doesn't matter much with the GA...). Do you see what I mean?

I have no problem with taking an idea that has ben done before and adding a new twist to make it better or more interesting.
There are many abilities that have been talked about plenty of times but that have never been properly thought out.
If you have a new take on an old idea, please feel free. But we don't need to have an old idea (and a bad one at that) rehashed again by someone who didn't even take the time to put "convert" into the search to see if someone had already done the idea.
On the unit alone, converting characters to your side is ont good for the game. It would make defense impossible. Also, with this unit, a game with the converter and any other unit (knight for example), would be a draw, and I don't like units that create draws.
Nice try, but no.
