Making a good-bye section for the forums...

Not really the most brilliant idea or "should be done right away" kind of thing.

But recently i've been seeing more and more good-bye and "i'll be away for awhile" threads in the GD section, now everyone knows the GD discussion is for TAO, world issues and philsopical debates (Ok a lot more but those seem to be the most prominant).


Anyways I believe a Good bye section would be useful so as to actually not get lost in the confusions of the GD area.


Not the best suggestion, but hey it's something new to think about.

Just make a thread and sticky it. Call it "good-bye thread". Just like what Moose is saying. I think it is a good idea. Just make every1 post their "Good-bye's there"

Been suggested. Even when it was on the top of the first page, everyone made their own thread anyways.
Just kill them and be done.

Maybe even a few more changes than that basic change. After that is done have a moderator move the good-bye threads to the Newbie Board.

Probably because the newbie board is for hello's and newbie help, not good bye threads :p.

i like the permaban thing, it would make it so that people sayin goodbye would actually leave. Most of the goodbye threads end up with the person staying or coming back a month later.

How about... we just delete whoever makes a goodbye thread, so if they come back they have to start over :p
