Modify Forum Search Parameters

The search engine in the forums is not very good. It blocks many words (including "this" or "that") as well as does not allow short words (such as TAO).

I know this is so that the search engine does not over strain the server, but it makes it unusable at times.

I would suggest shortening the minimum to 3 letter words at least, and allow common words to be used.

Oh I made a thread called this or that after i searched it. I din't realize that there may be the same thread. :confused: Good idea, Jeffery!

I agree. Often the only way to search for something is to type in a sentence that you remember/want to look for, and half of it won't even be searched for.

I'd also place search results in order of best match rather than last post date.
